Greetings,

Display:

I recently displayed my Jaguar tank, Rhino IFV, and some military figs at the
WAMALUG display window at Tysons Corner Mall in Northern Virginia. It gave me
the chance to do some basic landscaping, and that's something I'd like to do
more of.

I was able to take a few pics of the actual display at the mall (with the
postnuclear orange background), and then I later when I brought it all home, I
tried setting up everything as much as possible as it was originally and took
some more pics. Enjoy.

Marauder:

My mechanized arsenal has grown since I last posted. I've built the third of a
series of light armored airmobile vehicles, the Marauder Missile Carrier/tank
destroyer.

Based on the chassis of the Invader IFV and Raider Light Tank, this little MOC
came together pretty quickly. It has a crew of two and plenty of space in the
back compartment for extra missiles, supplies, or a few more troops.

Crusader:

The Crusader APC has a crew of two and space for up to six troops in the back,
with plenty of space left over for equipment and supplies.

I was able to rig up a pretty neat steering system where the two front pairs of
wheels turn at different angles (using an 8 tooth gear and a 16 tooth gear). I
hope the pix make everything clear enough. The whole thing is steered from the
little black gear on top in front of the turret. There is also working
suspension of sorts.

This was my first wheeled APC in a while, and to change things up a little I
gave the Crusader APC an all white peacekeeping color scheme. My military figs
tend to be a fairly aggressive lot, but every now and then some of them get
called away from the conventional battlefield to keep the peace between the
endlessly warring factions of Black Falcons and Crusaders; Blacktron and
Futuron; and or pirates and imperial troops;) They get to clear mines, man
roadblocks, hand out candy, and best of all wear snazzy blue hats.

Very nice! There is a lot of good work in there. Particularly eye catching were the well placed and well designed figs. Keep up the great work! God Bless, Nathan (URL) (17 years ago, 22-Mar-07, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
