(...) I love the backyard fence - what a great representation, espcially with the offset! Spotlighted (and downloaded for BAYLTC) Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 BAYLTC/BAYLUG (18 years ago, 24-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Congrats! I've admired your work before and it seems to be getting more and more intricate... The curves you develope are simply amazing. Great work! God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (18 years ago, 24-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Pyramid of Khafre

Very nice! The scale s very impresive and I love the (relative) simplicity of the hatch. The cut away details are also very nice! Overall great work! God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (18 years ago, 24-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Pyramid of Khafre

(...) I am strongly considering a trip to Detroit for NMRA next year and look forward to seeing your new buildings. I definitely understand the roadblocks and down time waiting for parts to complete projects. I am trying to figure out solutions to (...) (18 years ago, 24-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

(...) OK, I have a mirror at (URL) those that are interested. Hopefully this will hold out to the end of the month since I'm only telling LUGNET about it... (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Two more mathematical sculptures (and I'm in Wired)

(...) Thanks for the kind words. I got linked from the blog on the scientific American website yesterday evening as well. The resulting traffic seems to have taken my site over its bandwidth limit for the month so it looks as though it's going to be (...) (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

WIP: SW Attack Frigate - Framework

More than a year has passed when I left this unfinished, and for the past two months I've been able to finally scrounge up the parts to continue the work. The engines and the guns would stay with minor mods but the bridge and the hull have been (...) (18 years ago, 23-Oct-06, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Two more mathematical sculptures (and I'm in Wired)

Wired magazine ran a short article on my mathematical sculptures in the October 2006 issue, and I've posted pictures of a couple of new ones on my website: A Boys' surface: (URL) punctured torus: (URL) especially pleased with the punctured torus, (...)   Re: Mech Bay 11

(...) Well I did, I went back to take another look a couple of times to reflect. 75 bricks is 90 studs, if I'm reading my handy-dandy "Legometer" correcty. It looks at least that big in the photos. It looks to me like a Space Police II lock-up on a (...) (18 years ago, 22-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Northwest Artifact wins Best of Show at NWBrickCon 2006

(...) Thanks, Anne. I have no idea where this one will go. I've managed to get the Ferry Boat on display at a Maritime Museum; the Smith Tower fits okay in our living room; but the Totem is still an orphan. I'll keep looking. Wayne (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Mech Bay 11

(...) Well. Your review is a lot better than previous ones. The comment about "could be a bit bigger" is pretty stupid though. And the rating system is as annoying as ever. Overall, 4 out of 10. (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Mech Bay 11

This is a great mecha bay! Pros: The color is perfect and the two towers are very good. I also like the rails connecting them. Cons: The whole thing could be a bit bigger. Overall , 9 out of 10. (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Mech Bay 11

(...) Wow! Lots of detail to look at, actually it took me a while before I discovered the Mecha! I like the side entrances with the ringed ladders. But green ground on the moon feels really out of place, even though it complements the rest of the (...) (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mech Bay 11

Just look at all those wasted castle parts... ; ) Serious;y, this is a great MOC, my faviourite of your bays so far. I like the grey with red/green. I don't know why but it works very well. Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan Visit my (...) (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Mech Bay 11

(...) Ya know, I don't really like Mecha and I usually think "man, not another Mecha creation". But this rocks! The best Mecha thing I have seen in a long time, probably ever. And right up near the top of Moonbase stuff too. Great job! The green in (...) (18 years ago, 21-Oct-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
