Re: New MOC: L-21 Mobile Multi-Role Platform (MMP)

(...) That is really something. As its' been said, very utilitarian looking. To be honest I didn't like the look of it at first, but the more I looked it over the more it grew on me. I esepecially like the inclusion of the knee-joint armor plates; (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New houses in "Steinford"

(...) ... (...) Andreas, Thank you very much! Detailed pictures give a lot of ideas for building. And sorry for the delay - I was out for the weekend. WBR, Alexander Horoshilov (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) Ok, yea, a bit of bevel would help a lot (even if it technically isn't quite enough, LEGO can give some to absorb minor imperfections). Of course if they had been very, very, very clever, they would have figured out how to have the stud height (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) That is very neat. I've used the ends of these brackets before in a similar way to do tight lettering on a Caledonian Railway 4MT (2-6-4 steam engine), but I've never been able to work out what to do with the 1x2 part when using the whole (...)   Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) Hi Frank, I hadn't tested it but just did and it works fine. I've never had any trouble sticking plates into the back of headlight bricks before either. It is probably because the top of studs is slightly angled thus removing collisions. I'm (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  Re: Odd brick SNOT

(...) Have you actually tried this out? From the back, I see you have 1x2/1x4 brackets plugged into the back of washing machine bricks. I think the 2nd studs on the brackets will collide with the studs on the top of the washing machine bricks (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.schleim)

  Venom Mech

Alright, some of you out there saw this emch at NWbrickcon '05, but for the rest of you, I finally got around to taking photos and posting. I was lucky enough to win the prestigous and elusive "Most Fluid Mecha" award at the con for this. Added (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Odd brick SNOT

I just discovered a simple technique today for doing odd brick width SNOT, thus getting around the 2 in the 5:2 rule. I couldn't think of having seen it before so maybe it is new (although it seems unlikely). Anyway, I thought I'd share it since I (...)   Re: The Weight is Over!!!

(...) Marco, you were correct. It was the rotational part of the joints that caused the collapse. Once I switched the joints around, they held the weight. I also added a shock to the downward joint to limit how far the joint can expand. There still (...) (19 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
