"I fear you more than any spectre I have seen..."

"The Spirit stood among the graves, and pointed down to One. He advanced towards it trembling. The Phantom was exactly as it had been, but he dreaded that he saw new meaning in its solemn shape... Still the Ghost pointed downward to the grave by (...) (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Delta - another infantry support bot

(...) In my opinion, the binary load lifter looks an awful lot like in AT-ST but with a little modification. Imagine adding a set of arms towards the upper rear portion of the scout walker's head. The hands of these arms would look kinda like giant (...) (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Mecha: Talon

(...) Those are supposed to be the sensor domes that are linked to a sophisticated targeting system. (...) As I said to Eric, I was really trying to fuse two mecha styles in to one when I made this one. I was originally going for a more reptilian (...) (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha: Talon

Nice. The Bley/Grey look works well on a mech. It gives it that metallic utilitarian look. This mech says it means business - and is design for close range destruction (with the large heavy weight arms - good for smashing), while having serious (...)   Re: New Mecha: Talon

(...) -snip- (...) I wanted to mention. I need another 10 Technic Turntables for my current robotics project. Aside from that, I'm not sure I'll be making any 3 foot Mecha for a while at least. For now, it is still a challange to build on a medium (...) (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Mech Bay 09 - The Cub Den

(...) Mitsubishi made one in 1945 I'm told. ;) (...) I think there are some cool building techniques on the middle levels of the Mech Bay. I'll snap some pics of that. I also owe people some shots of the Cub's ankles. Now I'm taking a break from (...) (19 years ago, 10-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: New Mecha: Talon

(...) Thanks, Marco I'm glad you liked the ladder system. I had seen something akin to it done on one of Brian cooper's mecha, and thought it would be a nice detail. I'm steadily putting more detail into my work. Talon isn't a very large mecha, only (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Super Robot 12

(...) Fantastic Work! Nice story! Both made me think of getting some instructions (and much more bricks!). Pleased you shared it (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New Mecha: Talon

(...) To me The Talon is one of your best mechs so far. Spotlighted! (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Delta - another infantry support bot

(...) Hello Jon, as far as I can remember the AT-PT is piloted, which delta isn't. I can't picture the Load Lifter Droid. Delta was born out of the pieces. I had those parts I thought they would give a good upper leg. That's how it started. (...) (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Mech Bay 09 - The Cub Den

(...) Hi Eric, I like the overall industrial look. I can imagine a mech support facility could look like your new bay. Well done! Could you publish some more detail pics, please. You may already know, I like to borrow ideas. Sommetimes this helps me (...) (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Mech Bay 09 - The Cub Den

(...) I agree, there are some things about it I don't like myself. Though it looks neat and is cool to have around. Lights up and what not. (...) Good eye. (...) e (19 years ago, 9-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Mech Bay 09 - The Cub Den

Well, seeing as you're on a Gundam kick lately, I have to say this is pretty obviously the Double Zeta of mech bays - all the elements are there, and some of it is kinda nifty, but it just doesn't come together. I'm sure someone will be all over it, (...) (19 years ago, 8-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)
