  Re: My first mecha: Proto-1

Hi Mo, Nice mecha. The bubble head thing is very retro sci-fi, yet the body style is quite modern mecha. Its an odd mix. It puts me in mind of robbie spliced with an angular anime mecha body. I really like the body style, very posable, and well (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The World according to Harshbarger, Lambrecht, and Lowell

I'm impressed with the calculations you did there. Maybe someone will build physical model based on these instructions and then one day we can get my globe together with that one and see how close I was to reality [grin]. eric (...) ... (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: New Mecha: The Cub

Bryce - could you add a picture of a closeup of agiels head for us? I really like it, but I want moore... Eric - I think the Cubs face puts me very much in mind of the Transformers autobot look, it is different from your other mecha's faces - which (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Snowman

Had a request from work to build a snowman... He's big, heavy and white: (3 URLs) I don't know how many parts this took, but it was a lot. Suggestions or improvements welcome- a hat is next, I think. Enjoy, and PLMKWYT! Tim (Smith) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: The World according to Harshbarger, Lambrecht, and Lowell

(...) The mapping from these images to a sphere is a conversion to Ldraw coordinates, then a rotation based on which panel we are rendering, then a conversion from these to polar coordinates, then interpreting phi to be latitude, and theta to be (...)   Re: New MOC: Nemo II

This mech is hawt. I love the shape of the chest, and the position of the shoulder mounts. Lessee, you've got green, black, yellow, gray, white and dark blue, and you make it all work. That hip armor, with the white plate stripes matching the (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: My first mecha: Proto-1

(...) I am always glad to see a new Mecha build member. Welcome! I would like to see some more MOCS to see what you are going for before I make any coments. Regardless, I do like the poseability and the color scheme. Regards, David Rabadan (19 years ago, 21-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

It rolls quite well [grin]. I considered doing each continent a different color, but then thought that might be too distracting. eric (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: My first mecha: Proto-1

I just had to log in and post since NOT posting would have been a crime. :) Excellent first model, Mo! I see LOTS of mobility there, and quite a few modern and not so modern influences in the design. I'll agree that the colorscheme is a bit iffy, (...) (19 years ago, 22-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
