Re: Project looking for a camel

Are they aware of the ABC's science show of the same name? Link: (URL) - I would imagine some Australians would be confused with this show and their open source project. It had me wondering why the ABC would announce here that they're looking for a (...) (19 years ago, 5-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: In The Archives

I like the chandelier (electric? gas globes? they're not candles) and the easel. A very heavy-duty easel, that is -- must be designed for volumes of the OED, not just piddly scrolls. :) It needs a spider crawling around the ceiling. And an (...)   Microscale replica "Liberator" (in progress)

Re: NewBrickOrder: oppressing your home prefecture since 05'

(...) The fiery rhetoric has sputtered out, at least until I can refill the napalm tanks. Rest assured I'll be ready for your next moc though. The old standup act was getting tired and I had to pull it for new material. (...) Thanks Alex, although I (...) (19 years ago, 5-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Project looking for a camel

(...) For anybody wondering "Why a camel?", catalyst is written in Perl, and the Perl books published by O'Reilly (which has a habit of putting animals on their book covers) are adorned with a camel: (URL) the catalyst developers can't use the (...)   Re: NewBrickOrder: oppressing your home prefecture since 05'

I must say - this small gathering is rather refreshing. I, for one, was wondering when a splinter group such as this one would arise... The only problem I have with the whole thing, is that the last time I checked there was no "fiery rhetoric" in (...) (19 years ago, 5-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Project looking for a camel

Anyone want to help a small open-source project? The Catalyst[1] project is looking for a logo. Specifically, they're looking for a LEGO camel: Here's the request on the list[2]: The way I see it, there's three ways we can gain access to a winged (...)   Re: Can you solve the Wizard's Riddles?

(...) I double-checked against the photos minus the castle, and yes, there is a route past all four statues to the center. But in a purely maze-theoretic sense, it's not a complex labyrinth -- e.g. there's only one wrong turn on the route between (...)   Re: Microscale Zen monastery

(...) Thank you. I've got some standard microscale architectural details in there; plus I mounted a black brick behind the yellow pillars of the entrance hall to increase its apparent depth. (...) (...) Very nice! (...) I'd still very much enjoy seeing this movie, so I hope you finish it. How exactly do you make a minifig head explode, though? Best, – Joe (19 years ago, 4-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Microscale Zen monastery

A generic Tibetan Zen monastery/abbey, hidden deep in the Himalayas: (URL) I built this for an entry in the short-animation contest at the (URL) Katsucon> anime convention -- it would provide the establishing shots, and I'd then cut to a room with (...)   Re: Rosa Parks 1913-2005

The village has many relocated historical (...) (19 years ago, 4-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Re: NewBrickOrder: oppressing your home prefecture since 05'

(...) I really like this ship. The turrets look great, and I just love the "sculpted" reliefs on the sides. I'd like to see interior shots, if there are any. Overall, Well done Dan! (...) Looks nimble. The shot of it in the palm really gives a good (...) (19 years ago, 4-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
