Re: "Name That Vig" noprize Contest - Surfin' USA

(...) Ooh, cool! When I first thought of Pulp Fiction, I figured Misirlou, as it's the song your really think of from that, but didn't know what it meant. So I went with the one that had "girl" in the soundtrack. I have to admit that I had no idea (...) (19 years ago, 3-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) What is this, a joint effort? ;) Between the two of you, I think you've solved 7 or 8 or them... but I'm not saying anything until I have your final answers. Keep trying! :) "Big Daddy" Nelson (19 years ago, 3-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: On creating life-sized sculpture

(...) The Lego software does in fact only give the outline on a lego grid rather than where each brick goes. It works pretty good most of the time. When building large scale models, it is a bit of a different way of building than the Staue of (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: On creating life-sized sculpture

It depends on what the sculpture is going to be used for. If it will be on display where random people will touch it you'll probably want to have a metal skeleton within. For the 5'6" (URL) angel sculpture> I got away with it being exactly 2 bricks (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
