  Re: LUGNet shut off

I'd hate to see Lugnet go myself, though I'd be lying if I said that I don't somewhat miss the good ol' days of rec.toys.lego. -Josh (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Poet and animal sculptures

(...) Both of these are wonderful. Judy you seem to have a very distinct style and approach to your sculptures. The sea turtle has an amazing use of colour, (as do many of your other models) and a very pleasing shape. Emily, is in a perfect pose and (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Poet and animal sculptures

(...) My apologies for leaving ".moc" out of the "lugnet.announce.moc" newsgroup name. I hope people will be forgiving :( Judy (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Poet and animal sculptures

Hello all, I have two new sculptures. A model of Emily Dickinson, who lived in my hometown of Amherst, Massachusetts: (URL) model of a largish sea turtle (alpha version?): (URL) you enjoy. Judy Miller (19 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build.sculpture) !

  Re: The Brick Testament: Jephthah!

(...) Bruce, I don't think that is sculpy. Take (URL) this> from Travis's BrickShelf gallery. The two beards are identical. I don't want to start rumors, but I think these were prototype LEGO designs that BPS has gotten his hands on one of them. (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) -snip- (...) Not my thought at all, I was trying to point out who it seems. Personally, I think we should all drop this and let the judges make their determination. (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) I raised those concerns because I think everyone should be able to input on the matter. As for the contest itself, I believe, as I said earlier, that the judges will do their job right. But for the vignette "standards", it should be clear what (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) Oups :-) Misread that one! I apologize, you are correct. I read Brickshelf or Lunet, no other website. My bad on this one... It is nitpicky, I know it's not fun either to see someone do that, but I believe that if no one does it, then it's (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) I think you are misunderstanding Ryan's post. "The pillars extend 3 studs out from the base" - meaning: each pillar extends three studs out. And whether the vig fits with the rule ("3.Your vignette must have a maximum base-size of 8x8 (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)
