Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) SNOT construction.(1) Turned sideways, presumably. See this (URL) LUCNY> thread on road building, for example. 1 - Studs Not on Top. Schleim is German slang for mucus. Blame J2 for popularizing it by making up T shirts... (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Thank you for the kind words. I started pricing tiles for the roadway, and it looked like it was getting into several hunderd dollars, so I shelved that idea. You'll have to fill me in on what "schleim’ed" means! I dind't get any other pics, (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Entry - MPC - Brian Cooper - Large Mecha

(...) The legs on this mecha, as well as the head, remind me of the "Mazinger Z" and "Getter Robo" style robots; Actually, The head and the axe remind me of Garada K7 (URL) Are you using the same teknomeka frame for each of these creations, or do (...)   Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) So you're the genious who made it! Very nice! I've was looking at the pics you have up on (URL) BrickShelf> a few days ago and been wondering about it.   Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Duane- The funny thing is that cable stayed bridges are not "new". They've been popping up all over the world since WWII. They just haven't been as common in the US where our aesthetic sense in public works is always overridden to save a dime (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Seems to be working in your message. Or did you mean something else? Perhaps the SCLTC server was tied up or your access to it was thwarted when you tried? -Ted (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

(...) Wow, very nice! They sure do make attactive bridges, don't they? I can see why they're popping up all over the world these days. (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

New MOC - Giant cable-stayed bridge

Greetings. This is a scale model of the Maumee River Crossing bridge, a cable-stayed bridge currently under construction in Toledo, Ohio, USA. In this picture it is only 70 percent complete (14 of 20 cables), and measures 9.5 feet long (2.9 meters). (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Re: New MOC: L-Siren

This is my first comment on a mech. It looks cool. I love the head and body. Depending on the asteroid density, a rapid-fire gun may be a better fit for an in-and-out fighting style. Unless, the charge-n-fire gun is supposed to blow up the asteroid (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
