New pose from my Strike Gundam: (URL) able to do half-kneeling pose was one of my objective when I build it. No modification to the original model was needed to make this pose, other than removing the optional Aile back-pack. The Strike Gundam was (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

Re: Joe Vig! Keep on Truckin'

(...) Hey "Big Daddy" Yup, there were a series of dudes Truckin' around in the comics. I got a couple of the early issues of Zap when I was in Junior High from a "burn-out" I knew and they were just too far out man! That image just stuck with me (...)   Re: Joe Vig! Keep on Truckin'

(...) I recall the guy who was bald and had a long, white beard. There must have been several variations on the theme. Still, nicely done... er, Far out! Keep on Truckin' ! (and Keep on Viggin' !) "Big Daddy" Nelson (P.S: This has been a great (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Joe Vig! Keep on Truckin'

Anybody old enough to remember Zap Comics from the late 1960's? Joe Vig just wanted to "Keep on Truckin' " with his hippie buddies but a banana is about to harsh his buzz! (URL) the file once moderated: (URL) Darrow (19 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.build.vignette) !

  Re: Collectible (starring Joe Vig)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) There are two different missile racks. I wanted to do my original technic half-pin missiles, but didn't have enough white pins, so I did the larger missile racks instead. Then I disassembled and sorted my 4402 Sea Riders set, and suddenly (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Hah! There's nothing to see inside the cockpit but exposed studs :) You've exposed my secret strategy to make the uninteresting parts of the MOC indistinguishable in the pictures... Thanks for the comments. After seeing your latest, I'm (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Yeah, I *might* have gotten a little carried away with the colorless color scheme. Now I'm wondering if I have the parts to do the back in dark red, sort of a black widow scheme. I do recommend the cockpit part, it gives you a great sharp (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) I think most of my stuff winds up having a little "cute" content in it. I'd credit (blame?) the anime influence. BTW, I have to confess the wheels don't turn freely, so the model doesn't roll (they're wrapped around 1x1 cylinders). (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Yes, a true Shirow spider tank would never be without a pair of minigun claws. I'm glad I put in extra time on the nose-gun, though. You should have seen the inelegant chunk of crap I had as the first version. It didn't even pivot (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Thanks for the compliments, Marco. The color scheme really worked itself out. I knew I had to use dark blay for the canopy and joints, I needed to use black for the wheel mountings in the lower legs, and I needed to use white for the half (...)   Re: Spider Tank

(...) Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. That's absolutely beautiful, and an excellent use of the "new" ball joints. A couple of questions: 1) The white missile racks appear to vary in the pictures. Is that so, or is that a system of covers? 2) Do you have better (...) (19 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
