  Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

(...) Thanks. That's always a nice compliment to hear. :) (...) When I first read this story about Gideon setting up an "ephod" at Ophrah which all the Israelites "prostituted themselves" to, I was pretty confused about just what was going on. I (...)   Re: Harbor crane / horse and cart

(...) Wow! Just gorgeous. There's something about Lego "plated" domes, roofs, and such that I just love. Great detailing as well; the pilings, seagulls, water detail, staircase. (...) Simple, but also a beatiful MOC. Like everyone else, I especially (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: My First Real Dive Into The World Of Mech-Dom: The KOP Trooper

(...) Welcome to .mecha Nathan! I saw your pics on (URL) just before you posted. I like KOP. It has a clear design, and seems to be quite poseable to. The gun really hit me. Highlited!   Re: 2005 Mecha Pose Contest

Hello Mark, great idea! I hope to participate in at least two categories. But I've two questions: 1.) What exactly does new mean. Not published before your announcment of the contest, or first published as nominee for the contest? 2.) What if I (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Feel free to build as many as you want Chris! I'd like to see this diorama too. Maybe I can build one more, but I don't have more troops... Keep building (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Glad you like it. The droid arm detail wasn't part of the original design. I added it later, and removed it, added it ones more, and removed it, added it onec more and thought it looks better with. Although I can't think of any technical use. (...)   Re: Kogeru

(...) Kind of looks like a dwarf version of your mechs; shorter but bulkier, with really strong muscles. It looks like it could be designed for use on a planet with strong gravity, like two or three G's. The yellow and dark red is an interesting (...)   Re: Bravo

(...) I like it a lot. I kinda want to build one. Your mini bots are are really cool; I liked the last one, but this one really has a great look and feel to it. I can see two or three of these in some futuristic space marine diorama... Great work! (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: 2005 Mecha Pose Contest, rule clarification

(...) I guess I would have hoped the entries would have some hint of originality i.e. a gla gla armature frame with an original skin, or something like that. Getting a small army of black Gla frames identical to his instructions doesn't seem very (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

Re: Harbor crane / horse and cart

(...) -snip- (...) Wow. I really love it when people take inspiration from an existing structure and then build it - you get so much more life from the Lego model, I think. Awesome job. The statue detailing is really beautifully done, as are the (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

Hey Brendan, Great work as usual. God Uses Midianites to Oppress Israel - The coolest pic in this story is the second one. The Jack Stone columns behind the inverted arches makes an interesting wall, and the mosaic floor is very cool. In the first (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

Re: My First Real Dive Into The World Of Mech-Dom: The KOP Trooper

(...) Cool, I'm glad to hear that. For clarification, did you want this as an entry into the contest? snip (...) I'll admit, I didn't think too much of it at first glance. UNTIL I looked further on your website. I thought the head was too big at (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Sure did Marco. I am grooving on this little dude. I'm afraid I got not much more than what Dave said, the feet feel not quite right. I dig the toes, it's the heel that gets me. I'm particuarily fond of the detail with the droid arms, and the (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Harbor crane / horse and cart

(...) Andreas, Wow, again I'm jealous of you Europeans, I had no idea such an old harbor crane existed. Sure, there must have been something to unload ships with, but I ha dno idea what they used. I'm sure there's nothing comparable in America. (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Harbor crane / horse and cart

(...) Nice work. (...) A very important model to have. :) I like the way you have made the horses pull the cart. Much better than the "official" way of doing it. Play well, Jacob (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

2005 Mecha Pose Contest, rule clarification

I have been asked an interesting question regarding public frame designs, like the GlaGla frame: "Does it have to be an original design by me?" My answer to this is Yes, UNLESS the design you are using has been made publicly available for use. This (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

Columns was Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

On the topic of fluted columns, I'm sure Lego would make it Juniorized, but I would rather have a top and a bottom piece with drums 2 bricks high. That way you could make your own base or capital. The white Technic pin joiners can be wrapped around (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)
