  Re: More microstuff

(...) Heh! The plastic toy soldier analogy isn't too far off. I sort of envisioned a mini mecha army of cannon fodder in designing these - to be munched on by Bryce's cankerworm or some other horrific large creation. But I'll keep the magnifying (...) Ah. Vertical face-plant. Nice. Well done Dave. Peace and air, Professor Whateverly (URL) (20 years ago, 11-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: More microstuff

(...) They remind me somehow of plastic army guys. Like you'd have your marching guy, your mine detector guy, your crawling guy, your belly shooting guy, your kneeling shooting guy, your bazooka guy, your machine gun guy, your commander guy, and of (...)   Blacktron Rho Units

Blacktron... (pause) As we all know, Blacktron are cool. So are robots. Combine the two and you hit paydirt. These little guys are 'Rho' series mechanoids. I think there's something rather sinister about these three: (URL) (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Consider the Turtle...

Greetings, I know I'm probably flogging this sub-theme to death, but I'd like to present my latest turtle gallery updates: (URL) (unfinished) scaled-up versions: (URL) are good. Pete (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha) !

Re: The Brick Testament: Othniel the First Judge of Israel

(...) Aha! I hadn't noticed that. I just assumed that those were the insides of some CRAPP that I'm unfamiliar with, but hadn't looked close enough to notice the undersides of the studs. Nice. Bruce (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Evolution of the minifig

(...) Hey, I appear to have an atom feed (not quite sure what that means) at: (URL) Is that what you mean? I see that there is also a link to Feedburner (URL) , so maybe I should read up on that. I gather from this that there are two different feed (...) (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: The Brick Testament: Othniel the First Judge of Israel

(...) Thanks, Bruce. (...) Definitely. It's a lot more time consuming to build with a ground level and then go below that, but it is a nice change of pace. Within this same set of stories, I also used upside down raised basplates to accomplish the (...) (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Evolution of the minifig

(...) Excellent article. Thanks for doing the research. Only thing I would request is that you add an RSS feed to your blog. Blogger makes this really easy (under settings, then site feed) and would assist those of us who rely on our aggregators to (...)   Re: Vignette - Elbonian Airlines

(...) Huh! I don't ever have a problem connecting, but I know that suave.net was flagged as a spammer a while back (must have been all those spams I sent out about studs and getting bigger stacks). So email *from* my suave account occasionally gets (...) (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Vignette - Elbonian Airlines

(...) That's just too funny, Dave. We need more Dilbert MOCs. :P (URL) blogged> On a different note, I find that I often cannot access your site.   Re: More microstuff

(...) I really like these Mecha. I like the colors and they seem to be very durable, playable and posable! The size is great too. (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Vignette - Elbonian Airlines

(...) Sign me UP! This is great. You really captured the essence of Dilbert with about 25 bricks. Thanks Brian (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  More microstuff

After mod: (3 URLs) The new mecha are better proportioned than the older ones, and they hold together much better. The blue one looks like a gremlin, so I named it appropriately. Enjoy! Chris (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Kabaya Ghost Stories

(...) Thanks, Bruce! To amswer some of your questions: 1. The original toys are made of both soft and hard plastics. With the exception of the tunnel vignette which came in one piece, they all had to be assembled a bit, but not too much. 2. In the (...) (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Evolution of the minifig

Hi Bruce (...) It looks really very good, I think. The only (minor!) thing I think would make a neat addition would be a nod at the ever-increasing number of colours in which minifig parts are available. A 1978 group shot vs. a 2005 one would be (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)
