Re: The Brick Testament begins the book of Judges

(...) Hey, Bruce! (...) Thanks, good to be back in the swing of things. (...) The Israelites got a little bit of a makeover for Judges, with the arm colors distinguishing the twelve tribes and uniform tan pants instead of the old brown and sometimes (...)   Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) Nevertheless, I stand by my original assertion that offering royalties isn't critical at all in making the Lego Factory concept a success - and just adds another layer of complexity to what is no doubt an already complex process. It was a nice (...) (20 years ago, 26-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) True, but you're sort of missing the point that I'm speculating on. Limiting model size can keep the designs within the realm of typical consumer spending habits AND more importantly is probably required anyway, since I seriously doubt Lego (...)   Re: The Brick Testament begins the book of Judges

(...) Dispite the warning, I am shocked by the following scenes. How can you do this to the poor ABS? (2 URLs) Hao-yang Wang (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

  Re: Razor

(...) Yep, that is exactly it. You can use whatever combination of gears you need (have a available) but this is the concept. Thanks for putting up the pic. We'll be needing to point people at that. Mark (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) That's what I was sayin'! It'd be an awesome photo shoot! We'll have to do it using Ray's equipment :-) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Razor

(...) Are you wondering if I have a Lord Farquaad (Ruler from Shrek) complex with my need for weaponary? LOL! (...) Just trying to keep up! (...) LOL (...) Thanks???? Does anyone have a link to Sophie interpreter? (...) They are up for grabs. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Razor

(...) Thanks. I have been waiting for your thoughts and I appreciate what you have said. It was a fun build. (...) Thanks again. I love weapons. The more the better. I think we will find as we build better gears for hips and knees our Mech will be (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Razor

(...) Thank you, Master! I do appreciate all the help you have given me. (...) Yeah, towards the end, I was pulling out yellow greebling and asking, "How can I use this!" The nature of a z24 Mech of this size is more about weight than anything else, (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Please Let Me Know What You Think (URL) Acronym FAQ> might also be useful to bookmark since it can be a bugger to find. (it's linked on the (URL) FAQ> page.) Mark (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Razor

(...) Hello Brian, pardon me for being late. I was not at home for a week. But now I saw what you did! Great, nothing more. When I read you wanted to build a z24-Version of your first post I was curious. And now I'm blown away... (...) Hey up to now (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) Uhm, have you seen print-on-demand servcies such as www.cafepress.com or www.trafford.com? They do exactly that with t-shirts, mugs, books, CD's, etc. The paperwork/legal aspects of such a venture are easy to deal with following the Cafepress (...)   Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Bryce, I can just imagine what it looks like in person...it's insane enough in the pictures, and I can tell the pics don't do it justice! You should keep it together long enough to bring it to BrickFest this summer... Derek (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) A good tradeoff might be to give designers credit toward future purchases of their own. That stays "within the system" - no checks to mail, etc. When a designer's model is purchased, that designer's account gets a credit. Very simple, right? (...)   Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) Hello Kyle. Thanks for the compliments! I definitely try to minimize size and part count while trying not to compromise too much the details. Thanks for commenting on the booster packs also.   Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) When a company does something outside its core competency, something infrequent, this is the kind of outcome to be expected. Maybe the Ambassadors could help with making serious building contests fairer. (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

Lindsay, I'm trying not to hold the giant proportions against these sets just yet, since the Hind sitting above my computer still comes in at around 50 studs long, but it's quite literally a stretch. One can only imagine the ensuing chaos when kids (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

(...) That ship's goofy and ugly, frankly. It's outsize and done in awful colors. No sir, I don't like it. That "SUV" thing? No doors? Oh, yeah, that's really going to be effective against dinosaurs, sure. When you go to 12-wide cars, you may as (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

(...) Well the colour change pretty much rules out me buying any of these sets... BUT even if they were in the original colours, I would still be put off by the new dinosaur moldings. Anyways... I must say, even though I build futuristic military (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
