Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) What, there's a stigma about Bionicle? I hadn't noticed. ;) (...) Wicked. This contest has brought out all the really great builders. This one's a contenda fer sher. Very nice as always, the use of those tail parts is excellent. As others have (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Dino Attack: Militarization of LEGO?

Greetings, all: I've been lurking in this group for quite some time; if you remember me at all, it'd be for my ancient Hind gunship design back when that Soviet-helicopter craze hit out here. Anyhow, I'm back because I'm stunned by FBTB.net's (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(snip) (...) Bryce, You always come up with the most interesting use for Bionicle Parts. Ever since seeing Tortured Soul in person, I've been in awe of Bionicle Part potential. You used 500 claws? Hey, I've got a bunch of black Onua claws. If you (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) David, these weapons and booster packs are great! You continue to build on your portfolio of maximum minimization. Most of the rest of us need way more weight, size and volume to get that kind of detail and realism. I predict these will be (...)   Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

Wow! The best compliment I could give it is that I bet Giger would like it if he saw it. I read somewhere that he used animal bones and meat under the black rubber in the original Alien costume. Of course, they didn't have Bionicle back in '78, so I (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) I doubt there will be a percentage royalty given to set designers if the Lego Factory is ever opened to the general public. That would be a paperwork/legal nightmare to implement. Think more along the lines of today's Lego Mosaic (only 3D!). (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) Mark and everyone- As the parent of two LEGO world champions (the 1992 LEGO World Cup, the 2000 LEGO Star Wars Galactic Challenge), I've seen both sides of what it's like to put heart and soul into these events and then win or lose. The bottom (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Widowmaker Mk. II

(...) Thanks for the compliment, Brayton. Yeah, something about the solid black sections gives it a purposeful, battle-ready feel I think. Glad you liked the modifications. (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) (snip (...) This is insane. Truly insane. Organic crazyness! Bryce, when you were describing this to me my mind could only get a sense of what you were doing but to see the actual MOC is making my mind melt. I agree with Chris with on sealing (...)   Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Thanks to you and many other great builders, a healthy does of eye opener has been handed down. (URL) (...) Awesome! Contest of Champions! (URL) (...) Amazing pictures! (...) OOOOOooooooohhhhh!   Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

You better watch it, Bryce! Giger will sue your thievin' behind! Jaw-dropping eviliciousness! I hope this thing doesn't come alive at night and try to "pollenate" you! Better keep it frozen in stasis, "it's the only way to be sure!" Dave "Bryce (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) No problem. I saw Rob's query at work, and thought immediately that it was the screw driver. I just had to test it out when I got home this afternoon, because I wanted to know. I proceded to make one of those rifles myself. Looks really nice. (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tieran Marine Core Gear

(...) I know what you mean. I rather not destroy or mutilate them. If I cannot do it with current parts then I just don't do it. I have been contemplating molds. But I think it is so much more fun to figure out ways of working with what you got. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Somehow that just doesn't seem...right? :-) (...) Yup! Finally got a chance to use 'em. (...) Nope! I'll probably canibalize it in no time. It's taking up too many of my favorite parts. (...) Yeah maybe, but you know that doesn't matter to me. (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Thanks Mladen. I haven't been able to post for over a year and honestly didn't make the effort to straighten it out until Eric got on me about it a bit. I'll be fluttering about now. (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

(...) Thanks Jas. It's too cool to have you post up on my topic. Your stuff is second to none! I have a lot or respect for you man! As for the model I wanted to do something totally new. I guess it succeded. Though, as I'm sure you know, I never (...) (20 years ago, 24-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Big Bionicle Model - "The Rack"

If you're talking about the axles those are ball socket (Toa arms) parts fanning out from behind (think ribcage). The cylinder parts are rocket (...)
