(...) effective. Six Titan XP's? You must have one of the largest collections of dark blay on the planet (not to mention orange...). I especially like the back view, particularly the backs of the legs. This is sometimes a weak area on mechs. Not (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Some fun for Buffy and Angel fans (sorta long)

(...) Cool! Someone else who knows McCloud (and Aragones!). D'you know, I've owned that book for years, and never made the connection to it being useful in thinking about Lego? Silly me... Anyway, well done, Erik. This is a usefully (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Hello! (...) That's up to your imagination... Lar, however, had a point. "Chinese screens" sounds plausible. Thanks! Bye Jojo (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: 4883 + tyre = American truck

(...) I don't know if it really matches a Peterbuilt or a Mack but ye-Gods man, I'd say you have one awesome looking truck none the less. It certainly appeals to me, and once again reminds me that 2005 is going to be a banner year for Lego sets. Out (...) (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  4883 + tyre = American truck

Why doesn't the 4883 Gear Grinders set have 6 big tyres instead of only 5??! I'm a bit disappointed because now I had to use 1 extra tyre to build this American truck: (URL) Once moderated click (URL). I'm not sure if it has the right proportions of (...)   Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

Great project, both of you guys. It's made me think about what possibilities might lie in builder collaboration. It might be difficult to get such good results as you got, however. (20 years ago, 11-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) way. Definant improvement over prior designs. the face has just awesome personality. I'm liking the hands, those hinges can be hard to use (I think they look chunky) but it works here. cool. Proportions are very well done. When you get (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Is it efficient to replace plates w/bricks in a plates studs up mosaic?

(...) Thanks for this suggestion. that way i wont get colums of bricks all the same size and the layers will be more interlocked. great idea! bob (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Re: Is it efficient to replace plates w/bricks in a plates studs up mosaic?

(...) hi Maarten, you bring up a good point. it never occurred to me that weight would also be an issue. this now becomes a weight vs. part count efficiency problem. i'm going to have to go find the weight of the parts i'm using and do some (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Today's offer from JJ's furniture store: Spanish Wall

Hello! Though I do not know if "Spanish Wall" is what this kind of furniture is called in English. Anyway, in German it is. - This one is someway in the style of the Art Nouveau and that's not exactly suitable for my current MOC. So I thought I'd (...)   Re: The Ryetsumaki - MC7 Ball Joint Frame

I really like this mech Eric. When I first saw it I was able to make out your style immediately but it looked so much more "human like" and proportional that I had to study it. I agree with comments made earlier exept for the hands. I think they are (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
