  Re: Sydney opera house

(...) Darn? (...) It is cool! I thinhk you may have a broken link on the front page to get to the opera house though It says (URL) I changed it to (URL) it worked. Hope that helps, thanks for sharing! (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.microscale)

  Sydney opera house

Hey all Just completed a new micro, and damn it was hard. Curves, who is dumb enough to do curves in microscale. (URL) was a chalenge though, It would be way easier to make in real life, due to the difficulty in building something on an angle other (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

I'd say this is your 3rd best mechbay yet. The reason I think this is because it is very focused on a particular idea, and successfully executes it. Except for those weird X-pods and straps, this moonbase is incredibly "lean" and to the point. As (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

(...) Break it down for the homies, E, how many actual hours of those 5 days were devoted to building? (...) In my way of thinking, 6 is too many connections to the lunar ghetto. Do you really want fleebnorks and spam-boys running wild in this (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: That can't be good...

(...) And all this time I thought that no one had ever gotten any inspiration from the online pictures of my MOC's from the January 14, 2002 LUGCO meeting. (2 URLs) We need to make a whole city street of those. It will be like the Running of the (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.org.us.lugco, FTX)

Re: Battleship in progress by Jumpei Mitsui

(...) It totally blows me away how people can build sweeping curves using flat, rectangular LEGO pieces!! I can't wait to see the finished product, but the in-progress pics are also really cool to look at. -Bryan P.S. Wow look at all that light (...)   Battleship in progress by Jumpei Mitsui

Hi all, It looks like Jumpei Mitsui has started a huge project to build a fig-scale (URL) Battleship Yamamoto>. You may remember his (URL) model> at a smaller scale, and a (URL) space version>. Anyway, the hull on this new version is a thing of (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.boats, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

(...) Hi Tony, thanks for the reply. Open faced helmuts? Where? The visors are just flipped up. Also, what is the matter, never seen ESB? Forest moon dude. (...) Chili pre-dates the Beeesh. (...) Tony, the pod straps are a form of restraint/harness, (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

(...) Maybe we can get the folks at LEGOland to entertain the idea. I'll work to install a FAN MOC display at the Park. -with bells on- (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

(...) "Typical" ?!?!? I'm the only one building them! Just kidding, yes the Quadra-ped style bay was something I really wanted to try and it adds nicely to the 3 other Mech Bays I have. I now have 4 Moonbases, a total of 14 baseplates! (...) Right (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  SWORDS

(URL) They have limited life running on batteries. Still, it's a good first generation of practical ground combat robots. With mecha, capability really boils down to the power supply. Gas turbines or fuel cells would likely be the primary power (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

(...) The planters and open-faced helmets are a departure from the usual "hostile environment" theme, and so this would be hard-pressed to fit well into any moonbase display I've ever seen. It would work better if the plants were weird-colored and (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: My First Mech ... Please Critic

Re: My First Mech ... Please Critic

(...) I love this statement because it shows my ignorance and lack of experience in the Mech world! I had no idea that was a "ED-209" type model that I was mimicking. All I was thinking was bi-pedal with missiles. Do you have a link to any (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

I have been working on arm and hip joints to allow the gear-driven Mech to have "almost" the same motion (x,y and z axis) as the ball and joint model. (...) With this being (...)   Re: Moonbase Module: Mech Bay 08 - Chili Den

Wow, Eric. At this rate, we'll have to name a moonbase plat after you. Sophie Mecha Tracts, or how about Eric's Mecha Park Add. Wouldn't that be a cool legal? Yeah, I live at Lot 21, Sophie's WhoopAss Mech Farm Add. But I digress. Great job as (...) (20 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)
