(...) PlatforMechABDI/1.jpg>> (...) Brian, I'm really not a fan of the ED-209 type mechs, but even then, this one isn't so bad. If you wanna continue to go in this direction, I suggest that you try some variation with your legs... I mean, try making (...)   Re: MOC4100: Cranetruck

(...) Thanks for your comment. It's all so true and I'm glad you do understand that. Building with a limited parts collection asks a lot of strong design decisions. (...) Thanks 'brother' Jeff! We're on a mission to show the potential of designersets. I've seen the many creations you made with the 4100 set. Building alternate models is so much fun, don't you think?! Nathanael (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: My First Mech ... Please Critic

Hi Brian! One thing you'll notice that is different between ball joint and gear driven mechs is the range of motion using gears is very linear. That being the case, balance will now be a larger factor in building than it ever was before. My personal (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.org.us.cedarlug, FTX)

  Examples for the mosaic enthousiasts.

Hi all, I have added a page to my website containing a few examples of mosaics that can be made out of LEGO or ministeck (mainly ministeck-enthousiasts have asked me about it). Every now and then I will try to add new examples to this page. It is (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, lugnet.announce, FTX) !!

My First Mech ... Please Critic

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) The drop bay is one continuous walk-through section. There's not a lot of space (a little over four studs in width), but would be plenty for a minifig dropmaster. I commented elsewhere that I ran out of creativity when it came to the interior. (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: "Aggressor", power armor dropship

(...) I think there's a parallel between building mechs and building cargo ships, because the inside (either the joint tech or the cargo space) dictates what you can do with the outside. Thanks for the comments, Mark, glad you liked it! (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

Hi Stefan, I've seen bits and pieces of this as you've posted them to Brickshelf, but it's great the see Johnny in all his glory. I can't wait to see this completed. I hope that eventually you're able to post movies of him in action. Bruce (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

(...) Perhaps switching to 2x plates instead of 4x for the tread surfaces would help - this would help to smooth the curve around the wheels, at the cost of almost doubling the number of hinges you would need to add. Otherwise, love this MOC. Great (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic)
