  Re: New invention instructions

(...) Four: -If you're between 9-14, ask teacher at school to join First Lego League. Five: -If you're not, participate in a local LUG or organization that has regular robotics challenges, etc. Calum (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.people, lugnet.people.newbie, lugnet.people.teens, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Teikiatsu Mech and Armature Frame

A new mech. (URL) old frame. The same frame I used to build Tatsumaki. (URL) with comments or questions. Thanks. Marcus Clancy (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: 1965 Suicide Lincoln

(...) Nathan, This is really nice, I can see you put a lot of work into the grill and taillights, they look great. Did you consider tiling the rest of the car? It would have taken a lot of black tiles, but it might have looked good. Thanks, George (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: New invention instructions

(...) three variations: ONE: a) look around you room, dig in your LEGO boxes, have a walk through the cellar or the attic b) build the facinating idea you just had. TWO: a) turn on your computer, start the web browser b) find something facinating (...) Get down before the concussion wave hits! (URL) This effect was fairly easy in Photoshop. There are really only two shapes, each in its own layer above the base image -the energy blob coming out of the muzzle and the ring (particles trapped in a (...)   Re: Shiny new things

(...) Excellent Soren! I have looked at these a few times now and each time I do I find something new to look at. Tachikoma Special ,Fuchikoma Special, and BGC Hardsuit 04 are great mocs. Hurricane MkII...Wow!...My overall fav of the bunch. Marcus (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: GR-Destroyer

(...) Wow!!! This is an awesome mech. The concealed weapons are a nice touch and the detail is great. I was wondering if you have any pics of the jointtech used to build this mech? I would enjoy seeing that if possible. Marcus Clancy (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Grayscale Mosaics NEW & IMPROVED!

Darn, I thought the great EH was going to comment on my mosaics. Alas. ;) I've been tinkering with my technique and I think my latest one VASTLY outdoes my others. I think I'll delete all the ones I've done so far and start over. :) Here are some (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)

  Re: GR-Destroyer

(...) Monstrobo....sounds like a Hungarian Gulag....devourer of souls, and solar systems... Brian I can finally use the adjective Epic in the truest sense of the word. This thing is quite the Trojan Mech, you could fit a small army in there, or any (...) (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: GR-Destroyer

(...) dang! it's about time you showed up with another moc (or perhaps, GIANT moc)! not that i was getting tired of looking at your dark gundams, but i wasn't sure if you were still building mecha--it's been so long. i was truly floored by your (...)   Re: Grayscale Mosaics

Heh, normally I keep quiet when Pixelego gets mentioned and such, but given that one of the sample images from the original post was of Winona Ryder (and one of my favorite WR pics, at that), I felt I'd throw out a few samples from Pixelego for (...)   Re: GR-Destroyer

Here are some technique tidbits: The torso is built around the main gun and the structure needed to extend it. This was a very fun part to design. The gun is mounted on a backing which is two bricks thick. Little 1x2 slider tabs extend horizontally (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: F44-03; alternate jet

(...) That's awesome! Once again you've created another brilliant alternate MOC from a designer set. I'm running out of complimentary adjectives to use. Simply amazing! Please keep building and sharing these with us. I love the operational details (...)   Re: Stairs built with 1/10 offset

(...) Cool. Thoa I have to say, the "stairs" appear as more of a ramp than steps to me. Mostly that is because Lego is so blocky, that when I see slight blockiness I guess I let my eyes smooth it out. Anyway, maybe its just me. Love the MOC thoa. (...)   Re: Minifig-scale China Clipper flying boat complete!

(...) Thanks Joe. Those sponsons (the winglets along the bottom of the hull) were a big kludge...I didn't have enough corner slopes to do what I really wanted. Next time I'll use triangular plates on the ends! I'll try that dihedral idea also, (...) (20 years ago, 2-Jan-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Grayscale Mosaics

(...) Isn't that just using the "studs-up" technique instead of "studs forward"? IIRC I think the Lugnet Mosaic Maker does that too-- unless maybe you're talking about a more advanced dithering algorithm? IIRC Eric Harshbarger's PixeLego program had (...)   Re: GR-Destroyer

(...) Like the shoulders? WOW! (...) Very, very sweet. I particuarily appreciate how the doors close once weapons are deployed on the back pods. The main gun looks seamless once all the way deployed. Too bad that front panel can't get stored inside (...) (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)
