(...) Yeah you guessed it. Add stuff there and you loose mobility. I think I got an idea though. If I use the minifig back stud adapters, that shouldn't interfere with mobility but may allow me to add some detail. Hmmmm, thanks! I avoided slopes (...) You've got to have clearance for the ankle to pivot side-to-side, but you were able to recess the pivot axis low enough so that the front-back click hinge joint isn't sticking way up.
