Re: My newest Mecha: The Judge

Frank, I was looking through your Brickshelf Gallery again, and I gotta say that the (URL) "Jugde"> really is one of my favs, of yours. (URL) It really is interesting and the construction is off the hook! e (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Vignette - Admiral's Quarters

The Admiral has been locked inside his swanky cabin so long, I think the poor old fellow is going a little crazy. But, at least he's got a nice room to go nuts in. (Heck, insanity is a great way to pass the time!) ;-) (URL) -Mike "Count Blockula" (...)   Closing airlocks

This has probably turned up before, but I wanted to know how people recommend that closing airlocks should be created. I may not use any of your ideas, but I would like to know what techniques there are. I am interested particularly in airlocks that (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: lattice windows

snip (...) I think it looks great! Here is a not finished house the used another solution: (URL) used the "headlight piece" to do it. The windows got to small and bulky so I abandoned the idea and rebuilt the whole house, because I wanted the house (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: Ice Cream Shop

I didn't spell Graeters correctly. Their main web site is here: (URL) article about the location I'm talking about is here: (URL) believe this is a picture of the location I'm thinking about: (URL) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Ice Cream Shop

(...) Very nice. It reminds me of a local ice cream shop that's also in an older building. It's a Graters here in Cincinnati, OH. Everyone who's lived in the Cincinnati area knows about Graters. They still make their ice cream by hand. They were (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Birch reworked

Hello! While I was dedusting some old MOC (Boy, was that necessary!) the birch collapsed. It's a somewhat gracile structure. Looking at what it had looked like before I asked myself: Is that what a birch really lokks like? I answered it myself, (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, FTX)

  Pyramid building

I've finally made pictures of my (almost ;-) finished pyramid. I've used slopes everywhere now, ecxept for the top. Also the tiles are now all in tan. Here are two deeplinks: (URL) me know what you think! thanks and best regards Daan Bargerbos (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  lattice windows

Using the lattice windows for church buildings often gave me the feeling of coming up with too small or too low windows. Looking for solutins I came up with three variations. I. With this picture in mind: (URL) can help me out where this one came (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

(...) Maybe other minifigs have been using his head as an orange juicer. It's enough to turn anyone to a life of crime. (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Library Scenes

After seeing the great library-themed creations from (URL) Hietbrink> and (URL) Hoffman>, I was motivated to take pictures of a couple of MOCs based on scenes from the library where I work: (2 URLs) I'd love to know what you think (especially any (...)   Re: Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

(...) I bought two of these sets and my Capt figs also have the orange stripe. When I first saw it, immediately I thought, hmmmmmm must be a misprint. Even when I use my imagination to the best of its ability, I refuse to considered it a scar. (...) (20 years ago, 14-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Looking for ideas on using blank "minifig heads"

(...) Ooh, that brings up an even better idea. The black ones could be used as part of a Star Wars: The Magic of Myth tour, where various notable outfits were placed on near-black manaquins. The trickiest one to reproduce, of course, would be the (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

Hello! (...) It's Captain Ahab after all. He is meant to have a scarface. I suppose the orange stripe is there on purpose. Bye Jojo (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Does Cap'n Ahab have a vertical, orange stripe?

Out of this set <set:7045 "Hovercraft Hideout">, this minifig head ("(URL) had a vertical, orange stripe running down its left (i.e., "dexter") side. So, I called LEGO Consumer Affairs and let them know what was wrong ("He's got an extremely (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Spiderbot...

(...) Hi Dave, I don't think they're from any official sets. I got them from a Red Letter Days event at Legoland Windsor some time ago. The parts were in a selection of sweepings from the model shop floor. Pete (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  It's a bird, it's a plane, it's . . .

Superman! (2 URLs) Christopher Reeve played a hero on screen but was even more heroic in his life. Here's my little tribute. I can't take any credit for the fig design, BTW. I've seen others use that exact same combination. Bruce (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX) !!
