just a flash of inspiration: (URL) kind of a "Danger, Will Robinson!" look. Jeff (20 years ago, 4-Oct-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.org.us.nelug, FTX)

Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) thanks! the color scheme was a last-minute decision. it originally had the traditional blue chest w/red highlights while the rest was gray. but since my gunjin had that same color scheme (and i really am getting tired of it), i decided to go (...)   Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) I give it two big thumbs up (Lenny-style). It's BIG! The head looks great, love the tight color scheme, the prone firing pose, the rifle with an actual trigger (like your Eva's pistol), the lack of unsightly studs, I could go on, but I gotta (...)   Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) ahh...very good point, my man. don't want him to look darn-near decapitated, do we? (...) correct. (...) another good point. gundam gm's actually have small shoulders. however, i've always been a big-shoulder kinda guy. i suppose they resemble (...)   Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

(...) LOL, and it could definitely be improved with a row of slopes at the bottom of the pylons, but now I'm just being pedantic. Nicely done Richie! ROSCO (20 years ago, 4-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

  Re: Mobile Anti-Aircraft Platform MAAP-210

(...) I liked the chain guns, if not a tad oversized, (if the body were to match those guns it'd work, but then wieght is always an issue isn't it?) I thought the big gun on the back might be better served if replaced with a head. Especially when I (...) (20 years ago, 4-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) These Pics suck? I enjoyed muchily. They are fine, really. The mecha is however beautiful. I appreciate the posability and positionaniblity, from standing to prone. Very nice. Neck motion was particuraily interesting for me. I wonder though if (...) (20 years ago, 4-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) well, sort of. i had to stiffen the click hinges by placing some metal wire between the plastic tabs (which is a reversible process, by the way). i also had to add a couple of 1x1 clips on top of the ankle guards to keep the model from tipping (...)   Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) Wow it is very well done. I especially like the head and ankle guards. I also see we come to same idea of using red wedge 2 x 6 for the foots. Does it stand stably on those click hinges? You should have cross-posted to announce.moc. I almost (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

(...) oh, stop...i'm blushing! it's an honor hearing that from the master of the powered armor. (...) you know, i've been contemplating that for awhile. i've checked other gm shields like this one and they seem to be the same proportion as this one, (...)   Re: new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

Hey great job Jason. (...) Well, the pictures are good enough to see how it is put together so its all good I say. (...) I keep toying with the idea of buiding a gundam just for fun, especially when MOCs like yours make it look so good. (...) Sure (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

(...) First of all, I am not an islander and don't object to your design. But where are the green plates, those pylons don't sit in water ! Unless it's post-global warming and the rusty coathanger sits above the new sea-level. By then everyone may (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

  Sydney Harbour Bridge goes Micro

I've been looking at my small collection of Islander rope bridges for a while, wondering what they could be used for... and finally it struck me: (URL) After I put it together, I spent a moment thinking it would be a good idea for Lego to release (...)   Echo Base Entrance

The (URL) main entrance to Echo Base> is zealously guarded by the rebel troopers. Rotating shifts of infantry scouts are sent on reconnaisance patrols to scout for any signs of Imperial activity within the active perimeter of the base. A tauntaun (...)   new mecha: RGM-79 GS CUSTOM

i finally got to take pics and post them for my new mecha (sorry they suck--i took them during two different times of the day and i am still trying to get used to photoshop). anyway, i decided to finally make a gundam. "gunjin" was my first attempt, (...) (20 years ago, 3-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Concept model : tank

(...) Looks fine - like a futuristic scout vehicle. The suspension is interesting. Does it have 4 whell steering? (4x4x4) What kind of weapons is it packing? Christian (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Yet another mosaic....

In my haste, I made huge error by not mentioning that Dave VinZant (from the club formaly known as PNLTC, a fellow club member) spent 30 hours (minus 4 for sleep) helping with setup, managing the build, and hanging the mosaic. I really could not (...) (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

Re: 12-foot bridge built in 2 hours on live TV

(...) Thanks, yeah, I guess I meant stanchion. :) Gosh, I always called them "sanctions". Gasp, a faux pas on the .arch group. :) That's OK, I think I called them "pylons" on the TV show, so it's all good. :) Sean (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Re: 12-foot bridge built in 2 hours on live TV

Bruce: (...) Yeah, the bridge is a little too wide; I would have liked to used narrower base plates, but I didn't have any other sizes in gray. The real Ben Franklin Bridge has 4 lanes of traffic each way, plus two sets of train tracks, one on each (...) (20 years ago, 1-Oct-04, to lugnet.build.arch)
