Re: The Brick Testament: A Family Stoned and a City Massacred

Ah, more death and destruction. Family Stoned, Burned: There are several great creations here that hide under soft focus in the background--the microscale Ai, the trees, the city gate, and the tents made of capes. Do you have focused pictures of (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

The Brick Testament: A Family Stoned and a City Massacred

The Brick Testament website has been updated today with two new illustrated stories from the Old Testament's book of Joshua: "Family Stoned, Burned", and "12,000 Massacred at Ai". (URL) For anyone unfamiliar with The Brick Testament or the Bible, (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.ancient) !!

  Re: Calypso...

(...) Thanks, Dan! It's going to take a while, so you'll have to be patient. This is my BIG project for the next few months...and when I'm done, I'll have a minifig scale ship with interiors and equipment. Joe (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Calypso...

(...) Hm, I tried, and the tile looks okay, but really needs effort to attach to the top ...the chopper took a few tires to fit. Joe (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Calypso...

(...) Thanks! I watched some of those shows too, but what I remember the most was reading the books by Cousteau...some beautiful photography was there. And I wanted the ship to have some fun things in it, so the sub had to be incuded, as well as the (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Calypso...

(...) Thanks! A lot of the solutions I used were "happy accidents" - the smoke tiles being a great example. And the chopper? Just some doodling with some parts. And I did send pix to the Cousteau Society to request some info and photos of Calypso. (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Calypso...

(...) Thanks! The chopper was a fun amazingly quick build...once I found that trans head, I knew how to build it! And I had a lot of fun making the ship have such a feel...I spent more than a little time comparing a layout drawing with the model, (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Calypso...

(...) Thanks, Janey! This was a really fun build...and the details were part of the challenge. Micro has some real design challenges that are really fun to ponder and solve, and I'm glad I got into it. Now if I could get onto your level, I'd really (...)   Re: Brickfest

(...) Hi Bruce, Okay, let me see if I can shed some light on this........ First of all, I agree it's a great folder of the Micros for BrickFest. (...) Funny you should say that, because that Train Station was built by Paul Janssen and that *did* win (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale)

some new stuff, and a glimpse at the builder!

Well, work and school have both been pressing me for time to do anything, let alone put something new together. However, over the last couple of weeks i have been building some new things with the little time i had. I also have added some pics of (...) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: down at the farm

Hey, This looks great. I especially love the porch swing. I'll add your little duck-pond to my links page of animal MOCs: (URL) when I get a chance. Bruce (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

A taste of the east, or, the Korean Lugnet

(2 URLs) These two links go to <www.brickplanet.com>, a Korean version of Lugnet or Peeron or something like that. There is not too much .space or .mecha material there, but there is that stuff there. There is a ton of Military stuff, such as: (URL) (...)   Re: Calypso...

(...) Good suggestion, Let me fix that tonight! Thanks! Joe (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Calypso...

Hey Joe, The boat is great and I love love LOVE that helicopter. My only suggestion (and this a minor one) is that I think that a 1x4 tile would be better as the helicopter rotor than the 1x4 plate. Great work! Bruce (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

  Re: Calypso...

(...) I was actually referring to the tiny, micro-micro scissors Joe built, sitting on the aft portside deck. :) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Re: Best Mecha & Bionicle Awards Brick Fest 2004 (My Report)
