  Re: White Patrol Mech.

(...) Yeah the upper arms and upper legs are thin, but that's deliberate. I've got a theory about mecha proportions: It doesn't matter how much you exaggerate the scale of the various parts, but as long as the arms are in proportion to the legs, and (...) (...) Thanks Dave. I haven't done a piece count, but I suspect it'd probably be a bit high to hit that price point. Cheers, Allister (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Who did build this flower?

Hi all, I just discovered a beautiful MOC flowers of the normal little LEGO flower: (URL) Who did build it and could he/she provide some more detailed pictures? Would be just nice so I could build my own copy of the flower. Thanks, Holger (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.people, FTX)

Hello all, I've just uploaded some pictures of my (URL) Lars Family Homestead>. (URL) Nothing much (or complete) but there's some SNOT work in there, which is always fun. Any feedback is appreciated. (...) snip (...) Very cool! And a brand-new mini-hip design too! When I first looked at it, I thought, "why didn't he taper the waist down more", but then I saw you had a minifig pilot in that torso!   Re: TL-2 Chiron - New model

(...) Much better! I think what I like about it is the way the blue defines the nose section and also how well it works as both the cockpit section and the back of the mech head. (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) (snip) Well I think it's COOL. Very elegant design, with an understated, effortless application of really interesting bricks (esp. the complex slopes). The mini-fig pod is masterfully done.   White Patrol Mech.

Ever since I started reading lugnet and brickshelf I have looked at the mecha that the Japanese builders produce with what can only be described as awe and reverence. Hello Erik, thanks for sharing the pics. I like the color scheme you've come up with. And although you can't come close to minifig scale, it really makes it more lifely. Very nice MOC! (...) Yes, it is sad to reply to one's own 'reply' but I am now realising the source of Banker's books. Of course he has written a series - he is retelling an epic! Yep, I think this summer's reading is sown up. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: For building India, a review

Hi Erik Thanks for the tip - Banker's book(s) look like fun. A change of setting might draw me back into the fantasy genre. I can see from amazon that he has written quite a few in the Ramayana series. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.ancient)
