Yeah the upper arms and upper legs are thin, but thats deliberate.
Ive got a theory about mecha proportions: It doesnt matter how much you
exaggerate the scale of the various parts, but as long as the arms are in
proportion to the legs, and the hands are in proportion to the feet you can get
away with it. Eg, if you make the legs thick and stumpy, do the same with the
arms, if you make the hands overly large, do the same with the feet, and so on.
