  Re: Unfinished

Brayton, this is just beautiful. I can't wait to see the finished version. I, too, think the knees and elbows need a bit of work, but other than using a sincle plate hinge, I've got no suggestions. -Dave (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Two assault mechs, one anti-mech aircraft

(...) snip (...) This anti-mech aircraft has a very pleasing shape. It looks like a honey-sucking hummingbird, but in fact its a tough machine that brings death to those fierce mechs. Good work! Daniel (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Architectural terms

Hi all! I am working on a new projeckt, which I'd like to document once. My problem is, that I do not know, nor am sure, of all architectual terms. Word like roof and walls, arch do not count here, but might be there anyway. As for now, I am using (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Mecha Fun

We did this last year in .space, I thought it would be perfect. Just fill out the questions like survey. What is your name? Soren Roberts, aka "bricklovinfreakboy". How old are you? 18, but grouchy and cynical enough to be 50 sometimes :). What does (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Two assault mechs, one anti-mech aircraft

(...) Cool. I like the missile racks, they fit the concept very well. Could we get a scan of the image you were inspired by? (...) Cute (I know, not the word you want applied to a 20-ton clanking death machine). I'm not a big fan of "mechs" as such, (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Unfinished

Oooh pretty. I like the calves, they're just sweet, no justification required. The head and hips also stand out, very clean lines. The only things I would change are the elbow and neck joints. The elbow looks pretty limmited, and the neck is almost (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Two assault mechs, one anti-mech aircraft

(...) GLEEE!!!! This looks Great!! It appeears to be a cross between the direwolf/warhawk legs and a warhammer torso, with catapultmissle racks!! I love it! The Gauss rifles are very simple, but looks VERY nice. This is probably my favorite model of (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Unfinished

Oooooh, gundam! Melike! The model is looking pretty good so far! My one suggestion would be to beef up those legs, they seem too slender to me. Otherwise, i can't wait to see this finished! (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Two assault mechs, one anti-mech aircraft

Inspired by Soren's admonition, I'll try to do a more complete job on this post. I've got a couple of new mechs with "chicken leg" chassis based on the technic click ball joints from the Super Battle Droid set (they're cheap on Ebay these days). The (...)   Unfinished

In response to Soren's comment, here's the "half finished mecha sitting on my desk." (2 URLs) I hope to soon have enough pieces to finish this and make some improvements. Comments and criticism welcome. -Brayton (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
