  Re: LEGO box

(Crossposted to lugnet.build because this is more about building vs. collecting than storage issues.) (...) I take care of inventorying the sets I've bought by cutting the UPC bar code (which contains the set number) from the box before I flatten (...)   System Axles

Hey! Why didn't anybody ever mention that the tiny-peg axles on System vehicles (like this part: (URL)) are really just rods with slits? These thing fit very nicely in clips, and minifig hands, and so forth. This adds a whole new level of usability (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jan-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: Aquaraider Wavechopper

(...) Thanks! (...) Well, one day I just stopped going for haircuts and...oh, you meant the minifig hair. It's Qui-Gon's hair from the SW Ep1 sets, no modification. (...) It's red, just like the real thing. The face was originally on a castle 'fig (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: Aquaraider Wavechopper

(...) Very nice indeed! (...) I know Jeff a little from NELUG and if you are talking about "Jeff - The non-minifig version" I can tell you that is his hair. Totaly unmodified :). As for "Jeff - The minifig version" that would be Qui-Gon Ginn's hair (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Pythagorean Triads and Almost-Triads

Geez, Paul, This is the second time I've bumped into you ,doing a project identical to one of mine! (The other one was the 3-D map of nearby stars, in case you've forgotten.) (...) Emerging from my LEGO Dark Ages last fall, we opened an Exploriens (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Scoop what?

(...) Neat. IS there such a piece? I thought that there were only round 1x1 *plates*. and the only round tile was the 2x2. Can't comment on scoopability but these are used a LOT by GMLTC for stuff like "spilled coal", "dirt clods", "animal waste" (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Scoop what?

Would round 1x1 tiles work? Or maybe the hemispherical bases of the 1x1 "joystick" pieces. They wouldn't roll around *too* much. If you're not concerned about odd shapes, actually, it occurs to me that castle feathers (the small ones particularly) (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Scoop what?

Have you been thinking of dice? I am talking about the ones with 6 sides! My thoughts went in direction 8-, 10-, 12-, 20-siders. Maybe you can borrow some from a friend to try out. I would do this if I could (using the 8459) - but I lent mine away (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Roman Villa MOC Updated

Hi all, I have posted an update to my second big building project. This one is a Roman provincial villa, and as Erik Wilson said about it, now the ordinary population of the Ancient Theme has somewhere to live. (URL) villa is a sprawling, modular (...)   Scoop what?

What media works well for scooping with front-end buckets and back-hoes, e.g., the scoops in Service Pack 5284 "Loading Grabs" and set 8459 "Pneumatic Front-End Loader"? We need a medium that scoops easily from a flat surface, a pile, or a bin. It (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

Re: It's Time AFOL Take Action!

  New MOC's on my websites

I think this is the right group to post this.... I put up the 2 things I was able to work on over the christmas break, the Keep isn't finished, I'm hoping to keep it together and maybe work a little on it during this semester... Otherwise I'll try (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.build)
