  Re: New Technic Compressor MOC

Fredrik Glöckner wrote in message ... (...) Yes, I tried gearing it down, but the new gear motor turns so slowly that "gearing" it down reduces the output of the pistons. And the old motor tends to slip using rubber bands with two pisons. :-( Its (...) (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do your minifigs need a powerful front loader?

(...) Uhm, I just tried this, and got the "Runtype error of type 13". Do anybody know what I should do to avoid this? Fredrik (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do your minifigs need a powerful front loader?

(...) Well, my layout isn't too pedagogic, but I figured that with all the images from the different angles, it just might be possible to assemble the model. ;-) A bad thing is probably that you really need the bucket to actually make the model, and (...) (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do your minifigs need a powerful front loader?

(...) I think they will, but it may be that you need to extend the axles that hold the wheels. I've used one 4-axle for each wheel (they need to be able to move independently when turning, so one 8-axle per pair of wheels is right out), and you may (...) (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Compressor MOC

(...) Now, that's a very novel approach to a compressor, I'd say. But doesn't it make a lot of noise? I'm thinking since it uses 24t cogs mounted directly on the geared motor. Did you get a chance to compare the noise output to a "traditional" (...) (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Compressor MOC

Okay I give up. I am new to the group and I don't know what MOC means. Is there a FAQ somewhere that I am missing? Nice MOC (whatever that means...), Ralph. I will have to get some of those small pistons. I have been tinkering with a compressor (...) (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do your minifigs need a powerful front loader?

Nice looking model Fredrik. I wish I were so talented. Once I get my place back together, (I just moved to another residence) I plan to build it. Thanks for the detailed information! John Matthews aka leonard0 (26 years ago, 5-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Fredrik Glöckner wrote in message ... (...) Great model. I am still trying to wrap my head around the full picture from the .dat's with missing parts... I'm slow, but will get it eventually. Looks like some great designing. How long did you work on (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

Do your minifigs need a powerful front loader?

I've just finished some LDraw instructions for a minifig scale articulated front loader. (URL) features working steering and a bucket that is raisable and tiltable. Both bucket operations are easily controlled with a dedicated handle, and both (...) (26 years ago, 4-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Q: Pieces/Sets Indentification

I'm quite sure that it is a fabuland vehicle. If it was a two wheeled one, I could surely say that it was set #3782 (European9 but I can't see any example of a three wheeled red bike in between in 1979, 1984-1987, and 1990 catalogs. Is it like set (...) (26 years ago, 3-Nov-98, to lugnet.build)
