 Building / *3065 (-20)
  New technic MOC: Gecko Seven

I've built a formel-like racing car based on the 8880 wheels, suspension and transmission. It's nothing really special. The transmission and gear box is a little bit simpler than what's seen on the 8880, and the front suspension is a bit more (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

I built the Hot Rod version of 8448 last night (from printed directions off of the Lego site - (URL) - this is a login area that Dan Jezek mentioned off of (URL) where you enter in the lic plate # from the car to enter - it (...)   Re: Transmission made from standard Technic parts

(...) Similar to the 8860 and 8865 designs, here's a very simple and compact one: As a carrier, have two 'beams' with 3 holes with 1.5 stud spacing (i.e. 2 standard beams, any size, and a 1-beam between them) with 5 studs of space between them.   Re: Advent Calendar Fun!

(...) I've got a 1076. I didn't know there were two different ones. Only after seing Suzanne D. Rich's alternative 1298 models (and wondering why mine was a 1076), and searching the LUGnet database, it dawned on me that the US are getting last years (...)   Re: Transmission made from standard Technic parts

Take a look at my car: www.technic-uk.co.uk and click on Neil's Technic creations. Although I do have the new supercar, the car in the article was built with much older Lego. It has a 4 speed gearbox, with H-pattern gear selector. The pictures will (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

  Re: Advent Calendar Fun!

Sounds more like they are talking about 1076, or whatever the 99 Advent Calendar # is, that has more Santa minifigs than 1298 (the 98 Advent Calendar, only now released in the US for 99).   Re: Advent Calendar Fun!

Mine has been tracking perfectly also. Is it possible that the tray was inserted into the box upside down? For the sets 1-6, 7-12, 13-18 the special inserts also work to illustrate larger models, and these also track with the pieces to date. It sure (...)   Re: Advent Calendar Fun!

Are we all talking about 1298??? the two that we have been opening in the Pieniazek household: - are tracking each other set for set 100% so far, and that's 19 tries. - tracked what Thomas posted 100% until he stopped. If we ARE all talking about (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Searching for Set number of certain Tires....

The tires you are describing appear to be very simular to the tires on the 5533 Red Fury. These are the same tires just w/different hubs that came w/the 8880. The hubs for the 8880 have the inside rim for the special collar for the all wheel drive. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)

Searching for Set number of certain Tires....

Hi! I want to get some big tires, about the size of the tires on the Model Team #5571 Black Cat Truck. On Auczilla, I saw there are some <White 5x5 Technic Hubs w/ "68.8x40 Q" Tires>. Can someone tell me from what set they come, so I can check if (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.build)

Transmission made from standard Technic parts

Hello, I am attempting to build my own version of a Super Car, and I need some help. I don't actually own a super car, and I only own one "large" Technic set. So, I'm asking for some general advice on how to make a two to three speed transmission (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)
