  Re: Space helmet

(...) Mike specified that it required the modification of the 2x2 round plate. A correctly sized drill bit would open the axle hole up to a circular stud sized hole. Seems like an easy enough, and unnoticable enough modification to be doable by all (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Ford P65 Trigunner

(...) If I ever build a zeppelin, I'll take a hint from Lego's Technic Idea Book from back when and just do it with a two-liter bottle =) Or maybe the Adventurers Zeppelin? Nah, too small... Hey, you're the one with all the grey--why don't you work (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Space helmet

(...) Indeed it doesn't look possible to do with real bricks... (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Space helmet

How do you get the minifig's round neck to go through the + shaped hole in the 2X2 round plate? Is it maybe something that can only be done in CAD? (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: LEGO Rubik Cube

(...) Before I built my Cube, I searched the net to know if someone has already tried this. The 'Googlebot' found no matches. I hoped I was the first to come up with it. You beat me to it. (I haven't found my way on LUGNET till last week !). There (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Ford P65 Trigunner

(...) You probably can, but you'd have to program them in. I don't know if any Flight Sim Toolkits or other devices exist to aid such an endeavor. Then again, it may be fortunate that they can't just be imported in form; I have a strange feeling (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military)

  Space helmet

With a little modification of a 2x2 round plate, you get an excellent Moon helmet... (URL) as slim as a normal helmet, perhaps, but it's more like what your typical cartoon Mars helmet looks like. ~Mike (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Pneumatic Quadraped 242

(...) I've added a total of four polarity reversers and now it can walk forward, backward, and turn right and left (within its own footprint)! The transistions from turning to walking and walking to turning involves flipping two of the polarity (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Pneumatic Quadraped 242

(...) That happens with large pistons. (...) I knew you would ask :^) (...) So it doesn't tip!?! The center of mass is not always in line with the center of the footprint, so it can tip to one side or the other of the down feet diagonal. Also the (...)   LEGO Rubik Cube

To all AFOL's, Is it possible to build a Rubik Cube with standard LEGO elements? The 3D puzzles from (URL) Eric Harshbarger> and (URL) JP Brown's Cubesolver> inspired me to build the famous Rubik Cube itself. You can check it out on my webpage : (2 (...)   Re: Pneumatic Quadraped 242

(...) Wow, that's massive! And a video of at least one cycle would be helpful :) Why the large footprint? (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  CS Headhunter

Another Crimson Skies-inspired MOC: The Headhunter is a unique airplane. Famed air pirate Jack "Jolly" Rogers built and rebuilt this plane around a "borrowed" Curtiss prototype airframe; he named it the "Headhunter" because of his unique habit of, (...)   My new and improved atlas!

Ever since i built my first atlas:(URL) wanted to make it bigger and bulkier, and also strengthen all of the joints. Well, i finally got around to it! But replacing friction pin joints in the knees and ankles (eeewww) with work joints in the hips (...) (21 years ago, 14-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: New to Mecha + MOC

Welcome! Good to have another builder (there can never be enough). I must say i saw your mech on brickshelf a while back and was particularly impressed. I really like the head and arms, they seem very different, but very well designed, they give it (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New to Mecha + MOC

Hi there, I am relativly new to Lugnet and LEGO Mecha myself, but I do know a good mech when I see one and yours is amazing! I love the overall shape and form, it looks quite unique in that respect. I love the feet and lower legs, very accurate to (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  New to Mecha + MOC

Hi all - I'm new to /mecha although I've been following along for the last few years. As an initial offering ;) I encourage you all to check out my first serious mech that I completed last year at the link below. I have seen many amazing projects (...)   Re: Ford P65 Trigunner

Hej everyone I think these Crimson Skies MOCS are brilliant. Especially as you guys are making the "sepia" crew pictures to go along with them. I am still dissapointed that I can't import the Crimson Skies planes into Microsoft Flight Simulator! (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: WW2 minifig-scale Warbirds

(...) Hij ziet mooi eruit! Heb je nog enige beelden die de WWII vliegtuigen schouwen [sp]? I've crossposted (and FUT-ed) this to .build.military, because the non-CAD crowd may appreciate this too. By the way, has anyone besides me gotten their hands (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.build.military)

  Pneumatic Quadraped 242

Hi All, I just snapped some pictures of my latest MOC. It is a pneumatic quadraped that has an advanced walking gait made completely out of lego pneumatics. Instant walking, just add air pressure. Quad242's front left and back right legs are paired (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)
