  Re: Optimus Primal

(...) Well, let me put it this way... Transformers are a very tough thing to do. While Optimus Prime was a perfect candidate to be built with bricks, others are not always a good idea since it would take a huge scale so that the models, both in (...)   Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) John, This is really great. I saw CCBB a few months ago, and was wondering how well one could make a CCBB in LEgo, I see you can do it very well. When I get the hankering for making some old time cars, I'll have to go back to this for (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: just what IS a mecha?

i figured Mark would respond first. Mark don't you describe mechs as being big clunky machines with grease stains and such? Mecha are extremely eye pleasing, like a porsche. Mechs however give the impression of no-frills power, like a Semi-truck. if (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: It's Fantasmagorical!!!

(...) Thanks, Bruce. CCBB was not a Disney film. What you are probably remembering are the two fantastic performances by the same man in both films-- Dick Van Dyke. CCBB was written by Ian Fleming (who also created James Bond). It was released by (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: just what IS a mecha?

(...) It's pretty loose, But I like how one of my friends put it. "It seems to be that mecha tends to imitate life." As such, I think it's safe to say that mechs (or mecha, let's not go there again...) are robaotical imitations of life, real and (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  just what IS a mecha?

Can someone point me to a definition of just what things a mecha has to have to be counted as a mecha? (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)
