  Re: Curator Picks: Second Chances

I don't foresee a version 3, but someday I may revisit that frame. Version 2 only came about due to some suggestions regarding version 1. Interestingly, most of the critics for version 1 didn't comment on version 2. Travis Dickinson (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Yet another Escher - "Waterfall"

(...) Whoa, it really looks like parts 3665 and 2357 on top of a 3660 at the far right of each bottom right to top left water channel! (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Curator Picks: Second Chances

(...) Well, regarding the LB-that particular site is well known for taking others' creations and calling it their own, so I can't say I'm surprised that someone finally did it to them. Gla Gla is an amazing builder. Truly one of the greats. I'm (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Yet another Escher - "Waterfall"

Ow... My head... Ow... My brain is crawling out my ear... The pain... Very cool, even if you did "cheat" a bit. (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Station 39

(...) Dude, that's awesome, you've managed to improve on the great model that you had at BricksWest. I'm glad you picked Station 39, as well, as we all know that 39 is one of the best numbers around. And I loved your random SW rant that I've quoted (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Station 39

That's alota brick. This is is an improvement on Station 45, but I would have have not known the difference if you wouldn't have said so. They look very similar yet the yellow highlights in the tubing make it less drab and breaks up all the grey. I (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: The Jamocklaquat

That is one big motha. The tech specs alone could take just as long as building it. I can't wait to see some video clips of this. t (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Escher's "Relativity" - a study in SNOT

(...) See, when you're building a construction during allergy season, and you're sneezing a lot...actually, you can find that acronym, and many more, here: (URL) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Escher's "Relativity" - a study in SNOT

I was hoping to stumble upon it in some of the discussion but only found a few references to examples in the website. What exactly is 'SNOT' building? I'm also interested in where the term comes from. :) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Curator Picks: Second Chances

(...) First of all that wasnt nick fairs lightning bugs... they were www.maskofdestiny.com (the guy who runs this site aint exactly a "cool" or very "tolerable" guy, but nonetheless) and thanks for linking us to gla glas mini mech! i didnt see that (...)   Re: The Jamocklaquat

(...) Folks, To answer my own question: YES! ;-D It was quite an honor to see this thing in person. And quite funny to see it holding, if not crushing, the largest Robobot, pictures of which will be available soon. What's also a great feature to an (...)   Re: Santa Cristina de Lena

Thank you very much for your support. I'm very pleased to see you like my recreation of Santa Cristina de Lena (it's really an awesome church. I visit it two years ago. The simple build and the ilumination and shadows inside are very impresive). (...) (21 years ago, 4-May-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Yet another Escher - "Waterfall"

(...) While the tesselations look pretty cool on paper, it seems a bit too easy to transfer a flat image to a flat construction. The biggest challenge with the Escher collection is turning the physically impossible designs into physical creations. (...) (21 years ago, 3-May-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Station 39

So Keith, Whats the deal with Kassandra? I mean, I don't want to step on anyone's toes or anything. But, uh, is she seeing anyone? How serious is this scrubba-dubba thing? Tell her I make a killer saurkraut. Excellent job! You should mention that (...) (21 years ago, 3-May-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: Yet another Escher - "Waterfall"

(...) It would certainly be tricky. The best I can think of would be to make the puddle surface with giant clear tiles, but I doubt they exist in the size you'd need. Another possibility would be to use an imaginary water surface created by (...) (21 years ago, 3-May-03, to lugnet.build)
