  Re: Cayenne Venom, new Mech!

(...) Thanks Eric, yeah this *IS* fun! (...) I dunno, CV has a nasty habit of digesting small dogs and the dogs in the other end of the leash screams in such high-pitched voices it gives me a headache every time... And I suspect your kitten is no (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry

(...) construction process, and you obviously did a lot of planning with this one. (...) It happens with bricks, too, and with 1x3x4 panels it's pretty extreme. A major bummer for some designs. This is something MLCAD doesn't prepare you for, and (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry

(...) I also noticed a similar phenomenon while building my bridge deck, and surprisingly, it didn't only bend downwards (URL) but sideways too! (URL) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry

(...) and it's nice to see it here now. The ferry is very impressive in both scale and design- you've captured the ship quite nicely. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Cayenne Venom, new Mech!

Alright! good stuff, more quadra-ped mecha. Oh oh, look at the parts you used for the Neck! Very cool! Check out the Head. Pretty neat. Effective tail design. I like the colors too. Check out the way you did the lower legs, neat how you used those (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry

Very cool! I just wish I could have been at NWBrick to see it in person. My favorite details: These curving ramps built of stacked plates: (URL) insectoid leg as crane: (URL) kitchen: (URL) wall that's hinged to give a sloped shape: (URL) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry

(...) Remarkable! I saw this thing on brickshelf a couple of days ago and wanted to post about it, but I figured I'd wait until you publicly announced it. The pictures of all the structural reinforcing that went into building this is quite (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry

(...) <snip> (...) Very sweet to look at. I loke how it looks like it's just made up of basic lieces, but still looks exceptionally good! Now get it to the water and see if it floats :) Nice job! Dave K (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tw0nCo ICU FireMech 1.0 Prototype

(...) Thanks for your ideas and kind comments! Yeah, it's not a finished look just yet. I'm hoping to rebuild with a color scheme as you suggested; just haven't sifted through everything yet to find it all. Peace and Long Life, Tony Alexander (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: Triplane

(...) Thanks, I need all the help I can get! The size of the engine had always bothered me, but I couldn't seem to get it to look right (hence the useless tubing). The plane looked to thin 4-wide, and to fat 6-wide. I stuck with 6-wide and made the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

(...) And hungry! Truly a work of art-- if only I had the colour sense, the ingenuity, or the creativity! One of the top 5 great mechs of the year for sure, and it's only March! Adrian, you are BRILLIANT! and I'm so jealous! stuart (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Torment - my newerest mecha

Wow, Bryce! It's so organic, it almost defies any traditional take on lego construction. I'd be inspired... if only I knew where to start!! You've really taken the Bionicle genre (not to mention mecha, sculpture, space...) to new heights with this (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: That's it, my mind is gone (New Mech)

Holy. Fricken. Molley. I get confused just looking at it...in a good way of course :) I can't get over the engineering in this beast....you really have outdone yourself in technical merit Adrian. Awesome. Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Rocker-boogie suspension model Information

While looking through the LUGNET archive I came across reference to Linc Smith's Rocker-boogie suspension model (URL) post was dated at over four years old, and as no surprise, all the links relating to this model are no longer valid. Does anybody (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

Re: Proto MOC: Chinese Fishing Boat

(...) Enjoyed! :-) Really nice. And don't worry about the colours. It is LEGO after all. Play well, Jacob (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: New MOC: Triplane

(...) And criticize I will :) The motor looks a tad too bulky, the pilot can't really see out of his cockpit. My suggestion is to tune down the engine area or make the pilot sit higher up in the fuselage (a combination?). Also, the tri-wings sit a (...)   Re: Cayenne Venom, new Mech!

(...) Thanks! I considered the legs and though they feel a little spinky they are four and as such I thought they did not be so big since they kind of share the load in strenght situations. It made more sense to keep the mech kind of slim and thus (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Cayenne Venom, new Mech!

(...) I wear boots too :) (...) Yeah, they make a great contrast. (...) More muscle, I'm working on that (without steroids)! I was considering chains but they're dark grey and I had decided to use black and orange (except for the "machinery" in the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Proto MOC: Chinese Fishing Boat

Quite clever! I like it and the colors aren't bad, but to get it just right it would need to be tan. But it looks like a reed boat. Really neat! Build On, Josh (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.build.ancient)
