Mark, With its size and the hinge cylinders sticking out, I tried to keep the whole design plain and uncomplicated. (...) Yes, it is self-supporting without the stand. However, the center of mass is rather far forward when it's in regular turkey mode, so it sort of leans over a bit (the shock absorber in the leg is actually slightly weight bearing, so it deforms (...) I like it! its not exactly what youd expect but thats what makes it cool i think. i like how you did the back of it, and the shape is really good to. does it stand up wothout the stand you have in the pictures? -baz (22 years ago, 21-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
