Thanks, Tobias. It was based on the old multi-story schools built in the '30s-'50s. The town I live in had one similar until the mid '70s, when it was torn down to put up a larger, single story one. Joe (...) (25 years ago, 9-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Thanks! I was thinking aobut something else: When taking photos of the display, maybe a piece of black paper would make a good background as a space-sky? It would be very interesting to know how TLG made their space-photos. Perhaps they used painted (...) (25 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)

Lego Shop-at-Home still has the #8250 Search Sub for $25 (previously $50). The set includes one blue air tank, a large pump, and other pneumatic parts. I did something similar to this when I was messing around with animation back in high school. A friend and I were making an ice planet movie(it never got that far) and needed sets. I built a few by first making a frame out of 1x2s about 2x3 feet. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.build)
