  Re: Identify this pneumatic piece

I think this part was used in Legos early pneumatic history. You ran a hose from your pump to the center port on the 2 X 4 brick. You then ran a hose from each side port to the top and bottom ports on you pneumatic switch. Another hose ran from the (...) (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

  Identify this pneumatic piece

I acquired a bunch of LEGO recently, mostly Technic, and one piece I haven't seen before. It's basically a black 2x4 brick with three ports for attaching air hoses. What's it for and what sets did it come in? It seems like it might have valves in it (...) (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

Re: Announcing my newly completed website

(...) That sounds very cool. I really like when people design playability features into their models. I can't wait to see the pics on this one! But now you've got me thinking. Maybe I'll have to go design my own wizard's tower. Steve (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Touch Sensor Actuation Force?

(...) I don't, but I can tell you that it's trivial. The main issue is the distance the switch needs to be pushed before it triggers, not how hard it's pushed. I've built 'frames' around the sensor such that an almost infinitesimal bump triggers the (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build)

  Touch Sensor Actuation Force?

Are you all SHIFT-Reloading when you reaccess the pages? If not, then you are loading it from your cache. If you Shift-Reload and the page doesn't update, try moving to another page, emptying your cache, then go back to the page and Shift-Reload. If (...)   Re: Pnuematics: e-switch and thoughts

I must applaud Linc for a wonderfully design switch... I love it :) I also agre with everything he has said about the Pneumatic elements. One trick I have found to be very usefull is using pneumatic cylinders as motion-transfer devices. If you take (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Raising baseplates

The basplate sags a might in the middle. I ended up doing what Sean suggests, putting columns under the baseplate. The trick is that nothing actually attaches to the bottom of the baseplate, only the top. That means that only the top plate in my (...) (26 years ago, 21-Oct-98, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Pnuematics: e-switch and thoughts

Much agreement from me! It's amazing what creative uses there are for them, I pointed out earlier that I made a catapult, which when the air pressure builds up enough, it flings a 1x12 which has a open box with ballow tires. I also made a good (...) (26 years ago, 20-Oct-98, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)
