  Re: Decorated DATs

(...) See lugnet.cad.dev for more information on this. There are a lot of mechanisms for creating patterned parts. I myself have used Quad2Dat successfully. Assuming you have a good quality high resolution scan of the part and it's a flat surface (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

(...) Yet on the backs of the Republic gunship, Imperial Shuttle, AT-TE, and several other models (I think), there are 'alternate' mecha models. Somebody in Lego must be a mecher. (...) I agree with you, but still it is a shame. Perhaps they could (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

(...) Thanks. @8^) (...) What did you have in mind for the carousing to "go further"? (...) Yeah, to get a good cloud shape I needed a way to get studs facing all four directions, so the rows of interconnected headlight pieces was my best solution. (...)   Decorated DATs

I was wondering how all the decorated tiles, bricks and minifig heads, torsos etc that LDraw/MLcad uses were created. I'd like to create some custom parts and I haven't found any good information on the process. Any help would be much appreicated. (23 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: The Ten Commandments, The Golden Calf, and The Ark of the Covenant

(...) We're all hoping Brickshelf will soon be back to full health. (...) Thanks, I was pleased with how those look. (...) Suspending the God cloud was tricky. I wanted to use as little image manipulation as possible, so generally if there's a part (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Starscream, Prime and Megatron Preview

(...) I really like Megatron, but I have to say, Starscream is my new favorite! WOW! It's a good thing you positioned Megatron to the side, and not with his back to Starscream ;-) Optimus Prime looks really good, too; but I think he didn't have (...)   Re: mechastruct entry: AV-05 Gunjin

oooh...zaku and rx-79 hybrid! good call! i never looked at it that way, although the design is purely accidental. i've done several bandai gundam models including the ms-06a zaku II and one of the (g) gundams (i forget which one) so it's possible (...)   Re: AT-TE Assembled Pics

Thanks Joe! Attaching this to mecha group for those interested. I think we'll be putting these to good use. Mark (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-02, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mechastruct entry: LT-100 Hurricane

(...) *blush* thanks. (...) That wasn't too difficult. The mech is built on a throwbot frame. (...) Woo hoo! I have to show you all the guns mine has (plus the spare lasers in the backpack :) (...) That's right! :) -Anne -- I get plenty of exercise- (...) (23 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: ISCC II Moc: MAYA Land

Hey Yaron, thanks, this is the first Ancient Americas MOC I recall in awhile. Somehow studs look good on Mayan pyramids, maybe because I'm prepared to see them somewhat "greebly". The few smooth slopes you use make a nice counterpoint. The greenery (...) (23 years ago, 16-Dec-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.cad)
