Nice stuff as usual Tony... (snippage throughout) (...) Do the technic bushings grab the handles by snapping into the 'X' channels? (...) looks like something that could be disassembled as part of one of Jon's PlanoKits. (...) Cheers, -G (22 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin. (Re: football\soccer ball)

(...) Hi Allister, The lego football is not a standard number of bricks in diameter. It is rather difficult to get on something, but I guess that is what makes it a challenge. I managed to get two onto my ship using only lego and no rubber bands. (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

  stiff balls

Hi, I'm just stepping over from my regular haunt at .space to ask a small question of you mecha gurus. Has anyone figured out a way to stiffen up ball joints?   Re: Lame Parts II - Let the building begin.

(...) Regarding connecting the 'football' to other Lego-there are two solutions I can think of that are Lego-only (one is rubber bands and the other is...much more creative.) Anyone who can come up with a third way will greatly impress me. :) -Dave (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.contests)

Before Pods. Before Moonbase. Before Spiff. There was the Annual Classic Space Building Contest

Okay, so maybe Spiff was first, but still... It's that time again, and this year's theme is Futuron! Was fluoro orange just not your thing when the IP2k2 contest was around? Couldn't take destroying your precious bt1 models just to enter a contest? (...) (22 years ago, 21-Nov-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)
