  Satisfying my mosaic envy

I've seen so many wonderful LEGO mosaics in the last year that I've been itching to do something large-scale of my own. I could never decide on a subject to put the effort into though. My new favorite thing to listen to this summer has been the (...) (22 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.general) !!

  Re: Humanesque Mecha Designs

Hmmm, well if you don't mind reverse knees here two small ones that don't have bionicle in them. And converting them to a human style knee would be pretty easy. Beast is more playable than Orc. Both are pretty durable though. One hint though, you'll (...) (22 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Hussars!

(...) Sean, It's an entirely LEGO solution: the bottom tyre rests on the head and is locked in place with a 1x1 round plate (push down hard - the tyre will flare slightly over the head). Another 1x1 round plate is put on top, then the second tyre, (...) (22 years ago, 4-Oct-02, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Grabber Cargo System

Hey, that's quite clever. I may have to try that sometime. And the legs on the bot are just neato. It's soo squat looking, and it actaully looks good in yellow *gasp*. (...) (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Grabber Cargo System

Howdy, I put up some pics of a cargo system I came up with... (URL) cargo system has the benefit of a locking connector system -- when the grabber has grasped a cargo box, it won't be letting go. But when you want it to release, it pops out quite (...) (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Hussars!

(...) Sorry its taken me so long to respond to this. You did a great job Richie, but did the tires stick to them selves or is there something inbetween the tires holding them together? Just wondering... Hasta La Vista, Sean (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Humanesque Mecha Designs

I hate finding things out too late. "Ben Vaughan" <buster@marsbase.com> wrote in message (...) <snip.> (...) What parts of Bionicle are off limits? Body sections? Ball joints? Socket connectors? "Tools?" Beveled gears? What? Just wondering. (...) (...) (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Microscale City - Kehaar

(...) Great Job Tony! But do you have them built or are you still working on them? Hasta La Vista, Sean (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Humanesque Mecha Designs

(...) Well, you might check out my site: (URL) but in particular: (URL) particular model is fairly playable, and seems to meet your size requirements. However, it uses the throwbots/bionicle ball joints for the hips. Thanks, Ben Vaughan (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Fellowship of the Rings movie poster

(...) Thanks. I spent a lot of time trying to get the sizes and relative placement of things to match the movie poster. I also really struggled with the logo at the bottom. I thought about just cutting it from the original poster and pasting it onto (...) (22 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.castle)
