  New Addition to Marsbase

Hello! After a *very* long period of lurking, I wanted to step out of the shadows for a moment to let everyone know I posted a new Mecha on the Marsbase site. The Ronin is the latest entry to the Marsbase stables. I've only got the gallery page (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Redesigned website finally online!

YES, YES, YES!!!!! It has finally arrived!!! :-) I love it Bram. A couple things that stood out at me: 1. There are no pages for the last three Ice Planet vehicles. 2. The text you used for the hyperlinks is cool, but hard to read at that size. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.publish, lugnet.build, lugnet.cad)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) I think standard container lengths are 20, 40, 48 and 53. There might also be 28 footers. These are also standard semi trailer lengths. Paul (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Redesigned website finally online!

After about a year of promising to update my website, I finally have: (URL) fans: (URL) fans: (URL) the site looks best in Internet Explorer 4+, but also works in Netscape.   Halloween Lego Design Contest Reminder and Update

Hello Lego Community! Well, here it is the first of September and in most parts of the country the first hints of the Fall have begun. Maybe the wind has the merest hint of a chill, or perhaps you have seen a few bare spots on your trees in your (...) (25 years ago, 2-Sep-99, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) You may already know this, Will, but Lego's current Idea Book (which is pretty lame overall) has instructions for a semi cab which has a 4-wide driving cab and a 5-wide rear (sleeping?) cab. I just built it today, by coincidence. It's not bad. (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) This would involve using regular tiles and the 1x2 tiles with a single stud to serve as a "bed" to place an offset 3,5,or 7 wide body upon. This would work pretty easy for 3-wide, but the others would require another layer of plates to hold (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) 10 for width yes. Container height and length vary. 40 used to be standard but there now are 20s, 30s, 40s, 44s and 50s I believe. I dunno what the standard height is. However my point is simple, 10 feet is the width of a container, it's also (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) What about 3, 5, and 7 wide? I'd like to see how others solve the problem of odd-width cars. (Actually, I've only used 5 wide for the bed of a pick-up truck, and 7 wide for my AT-ST, but I think other vehicles would be interesting (3 wide golf (...) It loaded fine for me here at work, but I know for a fact it won't load at home, even though I am using Communicator 4.61 at both locations, both on NTWS 4.0 SP4.   Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) Yes, they are a bit wider, that is true. But the extra width can be as little as 4 inches a side (in fact on some spine cars it's 0) which in a total width of 10 feet is less than LEGO resolution. That's not even a plate on its side, much less (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.
