Re: Railing prototype for heavy cruiser

(...) Hmm--now I'm confused. When I looked yesterday, the image seemed strangely dark and difficult to see clearly. Now it's still darkish, but I can see it pretty well. I suspect some sort of elaborate plot to keep me from viewing your (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

Re: Railing prototype for heavy cruiser

(...) (URL) is the pattern. My intent is to do the interior of the ship in light grey, and the exterior in dark grey and tan. It should be possible; for the layout, machinery, and deck fittings, I have a copy of Janusz Skulski's superlative _Heavy (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: New Flying things

(...) Thanks, I really try. I like monsters. And black things... hehheheeh. But really that was the thought. All the extra bits sticking off the front are meant to be sensors and ecm devices. The idea is sneak in hit hard and sneak away. hence the (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Railing prototype for heavy cruiser

Hmm... the railings look good to me... My big question is: HEAVY CRUISER!?! *ahem* Sorry, that came out a bit abruptly... let's give it another go: HEAVY CRUISER? Some elaboration *please*! Got any specific class in mind yet -- a Baltimore? A (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

Ice Planet Contest Entry: Glacial Spike

I know I said I wouldn't do an entry in this contest (since I don't own any Ice Planet sets) but what the hell, I got inspired. Presenting the Glacial Spike, a category 2 ground vehicle (with 99 pieces, just barely under the limit *hehe*) It is, of (...)   I finally did it!

Greetings, one and all. Today I sat myself down at my Lego table and said to myself, "Enough fighters. It's time to build something BIG!" Low and behold, I succeeded -- at the cost of several hours of sorting afterwards... :\ (URL) a giant (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build)

(...) Indeed it does! (Definitely double rails for me, next time!) (...) (Based on my experiments with double rails... but using SNOT uprights, rather than headlight bricks). I'm not convinced of the overall benefit of this; While it may be (...) (22 years ago, 15-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: 10th variation of 1592

Hi @ll, and here comes No. 11 by Thekla from Berlin. She loves the statue-bricks and build already lots of nice mocs with them. Here we go: (URL) (22 years ago, 15-May-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Railing prototype for heavy cruiser

(...) Wait, is it too bright, or too dim? I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking me. But yeah, I've thought about the sheet styrene angle, and I decided against it--I'm a purist at heart. It's hard enough for me to even cut the straws, though (...) (22 years ago, 15-May-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

Re: Railing prototype for heavy cruiser

(...) That images is a little bright--can you darken it up a bit? Otherwise, that looks really cool. Since I'm a big fan of apocryphal construction toy materials, I've actually purchased 1/8" styrene stock from the local hobby shop and fed it (...)
