  Re: Question about making sculptures

(...) I would suggest that you start by practicing curved shapes using only regular bricks. Try making circles of different diameters, and once you have that mastered, try to make a sphere (ball) shape. I think that this is the most important skill (...)   Re: New Mech, Beast

(...) All right! I like the use of the sloped canopy and the minifig Legs as claws! Nicely done! The roll cage to holdthe canopy fits right in with the head. Inspiring, at best! Just my two brickz! <<_Matt Hein_>> Lugnet member No. 1112 (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mech, Beast

Ello NG I'm a 13 years old boy, who wanna make lego sculptures, but i have 2 questions before i spend my money buying bricks: 1. Is there any guides how to make Legosculptures, or should i just try and then, maybe, be better with the time? 2. Is it (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: New MOC: Grand Haven Lighthouse

(...) Cool! Go for it. Models that have a lot of good memories behind them are always the best. Adrian (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: New MOC: Grand Haven Lighthouse

(...) Nice lighthouse Adrian. :) Comes from the good side of Michigan! j/k Detroitees! It's a very nice representation of the lighthouse over in Grand Haven. Using your technic for the round-ness of the tower, I might make South Haven's lighthouse. (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  New MOC: Grand Haven Lighthouse

Here's my entry for the 2002 town contest. It's a model of the Grand Haven lighthouse in Grand Haven, Michigan. I don't know what category it should fit in, since it's basically two small buildings on 4 baseplates. I guess I'll let Kevin make the (...)   Re: LEGO Cover Art: NYU

(...) There are worse mailing lists to be on. :-) My issue is more the guilt about having them send a relatively expensive printed piece at their expense. (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

  New Mech, Beast

(URL) here's a general purpose mech. That means a grunt's mech. Sort of like the jeep. It's meant to do it all, from construction duty to front line combat duty. Cheap to build, durable, very transportable, rugged. Beast actually got its name from (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: LEGO Cover Art: NYU

'Coup by Eric and Henry...' I don't think I actually have photos of the supports used to float the arch. They were basically simple extensions out the back of the arch. I knew roughly at what angle the camera would be shot, so I placed the supports (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

MOC: Union Station - Kansas City, MO

Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee

(...) In order to make the big wheels fit, I had to widen the steering arms from 10 studs to 12. The big tires would've hit the frame otherwise. I also had to lower the steering assembly and make it narrower so that I could squeeze the shocks in. As (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New OOC: Motorized 14 wide Jeep Cherokee

In case anyone's interested, I've created a brickshelf folder with version 2 of the Jeep Cherokee. It features larger balloon tires, cosmetic shocks, a modified steering system, and a reinforced front bumper (which you can't see, but it's there (...) (23 years ago, 17-Mar-02, to lugnet.build)
