  Re: Ever seen this brick?

(...) It may be Tyco. I know they have a slope which is 1x2, just sloped. Another possibility is Coko. Does it appear to be the same ABS as LEGO or is it more like the plastic in model cars? Frank (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Ever seen this brick?

(...) I wondered the same thing myself. There is a number "2" on the inside of the inverse slope. 2 indications, or questions are: 1: The texture of the slope is the same as regular slopes. 2: the top edge of the slope (stud side) is slightly (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: Tanks! Trucks! Fire Engines!....and a couple of vans. New MOCs

(...) Believe it or not, that is a real truck in operation by a private towing company here locally. There are only 15 like it in the world. It was built in Canada, then brought to our little part of the world in Southwest Virginia. I watched this (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: Ever seen this brick?

(...) I betcha that isn't LEGO. If it is, it should say "LEGO" inside the hole in the stud, and/or have numbers printed somewhere inside it. Look closely. --Bill. (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Tanks! Trucks! Fire Engines!....and a couple of vans. New MOCs

Just added several pics on brickshelf of a few new creations, and >cough cough hack hack< for those who know me for my ORIGINAL :o) creations in fire apparatus, I actually built a bus that has already been done by Jerome Teissier. It was something (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: the beginnings of mecha

You know, some time ago I read in Popular science about a cable that when electricity applied contracted. Myomer Cable? Musculature for Mechs? Makes you go, hmmmmm. (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Mech and Hoverthings oh, My!

Whoa!! You're too kind. Thanks. Unfortuantely my bud is due in town the same weekend. He's coming from LA, now that's irony. But anyway I haven't seen him in years, he's my brother and I'm not missing this for anything. I wish I could be there. Just (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Ever seen this brick?

(...) You got it! (URL) is very odd indeed. Out of countless hundreds of thousands of pieces, it is the only one like it. I believe it came from a fairly large box picked up at a local flea market. Rodney Gentry Woodchuck County Fire and Rescue (URL) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New Mech and Hoverthings oh, My!

(...) Sure did. And don't sweat my feelings. I want honest feedback. It makes me better. (I survived the UW creative writing program, I can take feedback.) You're absolutely right. I'm much more functional in my design. My use of color is almost (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: the beginnings of mecha

Heh, believe it or not, I saw a link to that site on Ain't It Cool News yesterday. I just knew you would point it out, Mark. ;-) Interesting stuff, maybe it will lead to bigger and better things... i.e. mecha... (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Box Design

(...) Hey Todd, Just a quick note to let you know that thanks to some recent legwork by James Reynolds (my cohort in LDMC (URL) we're finally a couple of steps closer to or hope of a Mac based editor. We'll post more info when it's available. Matt (23 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.cad)

  Re: New Box Design

(...) Oooo I might try a different colored "nose pieces" Red,Yellow, to see if I can get a color scheme like that. Maybe I can come up with a "Blue Angel" style color scheme. Should be pretty easy. Thanks Paul for the ideas! Now if they made LDraw (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Diablock Mecha

Hey Mark, Yep. Got them Coming in as we discussed. I think it would be interesting to see if you're able to turn these into LEGO creations or approximate the Mechs. BTW. I will keep some of these unopned until the next SEALUG meeting! Regards T. (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
