  Re: New MOC: Bus Station

(...) Thanks. I was trying to think of things I could contribute to the train layout our club is going to be doing for the GATS show in August, and it occurred to me I'd never seen cellphone towers in LEGO. It's hard to get trilateral symmetry in (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  New MOC: Legoland Cafe

I bought a bulk LEGO lot on eBay recently and it included a number of rather old LEGO pieces, including some pre-printed bricks I'd never seen before. There were two such labeled "CAFE" and so I started wondering how I could use them. I ended up (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

RE: New MOC: 12 wide 1949 Mercury Foordoor Sedan

(...) Thanks! Actually, there's not too much inside except to bench-style seat backs and a steering wheel. My goal here was to get the outside to look good. (...) Great buiker, eh? Haven't built a Buick yet :) Don't let the ID number of 83 mislead (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  MECHA BUILDING CONTEST REMINDER!

Hey, all you who are interested in entering my contest- YOU MUST EMAIL ME YOUR ENTRY BEFORE the 31st. I already got some from other people, but I can't enter everyone's creations without them specifically asking me to. <I did get the Elephant (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New town MOC: Children's playground

(...) are just as important as buildings and other big things in bringing a display alive. And on your site in general: I really like the way you've laid out your pages. They have all the links you need without extra clutter. I just wish that (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

The biggest Lego based game ever to be held

Hi everyone! I am pleased to announce the launch of a major landmark in Lego gaming. SECTOR62 is a space based game (kind of like an RPG) in which everyone is competing to be the first to discover the secret of the Acquinar system. The website - (...)   Re: Mecha Group Shots

(...) Ooooh, so cute. A nice family shot with all of the Legomaster's recent creations. Eh! But what is that? Yes, its that horrible defence platform with the GG-Mech. Perhaps this isn't a sweet picture after all, as these mecha clearly don't have (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New! NOM Unit-01: Black Metal

(...) Thanks for the comments. The front and side skirts use the standard horizontal attachement pieces (the ones that were in nearly every castle set untill recently, used to hold the weapons). Only the back plate has some orriginallity as it uses (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New town MOC: Children's playground

(...) Bill: Your playground is adorable. Very ingenious representation of the various play equipment. Based on the fact that 1] there are a relatively small amount of pieces, 2] it contains few rare (i.e., expensive) pieces, and 3] it photographs so (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Uli Meyer's Brickshelf gallery

You're right, that Beetle is really nice. I'm gonna have to build me one of those next time I'm in a "town" mood. The blue house that showed up fairly recently is pretty amazing too. I also enjoy the three different scales of tow truck. Bruce (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Uli Meyer's Brickshelf gallery

Bram, I forwarded your comments to Uli in case he didn't see them. He sent me a reply and asked that I post it to Lugnet for him: ---...--- Lego is limited and economical. The idea of art can be to use as few as possible to say as much as possible. (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  New town MOC: Children's playground

This could be an adjunct to an elementary school or park area. Equipment includes a slide, merry-go-round, seesaw (a.k.a. teeter-totter), and a couple types of climbing bars.   Re: New MOC: Bus Station

Aacckk!!! A cell tower! Ya beat me to it! I'm working on a cell tower myself as part of one of my MOC's. creative use of skis too! I've found two items that work very well for a cell tower. One is the 3-bladed propeller piece (I can't remember the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New MOC: Aquilla

Hey cool Joel, that looks really spiffy. I like the wings, that's a pretty clever idea you have there, The feet are well done as well. The greeblies on the back are sweet, as they go well with the cockpit area, which is waaaaaay too sweet! :-D Great (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New! NOM Unit-01: Black Metal

Bobby, Well done! This is really nice, it has such a nice smooth shape to it, cool, I really like the engines on the back, very cool, they look sweet back there. I'm interested in your method of attaching the armour skirts, they are very well done, (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Mecha Joint Tech

(...) Something they should (and probably won't) release immediately is an accessory pack of just the hinges with friction pins on either end -- no arm lengths! They probably can't do anything smaller than the 2x2x2 socket element based on the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Mecha Joint Tech

(...) Yes but they're scale models, not toys. (I have to keep reminding myself of this ;-) Actually once you go with gears, a non-geared joint just isn't as much fun, not as realistic, though technically a real mecha wouldn't use gears, more like (...)
