Bram,
I forwarded your comments to Uli in case he didn't see them. He sent me a
reply and asked that I post it to Lugnet for him:

Lego is limited and economical. The idea of art can be to use as few as
possible to say as much as possible. This is a kind of self-constraint, like
a sculpturer never uses glue or a real origami artist would never cut but
only fold a paper. There is a limited number of a limited set of bricks.

Sorry, for my time is also limited. I can't dance on every wedding, as we use
to say in Germany. In other words, I am limited and for the time beeing
can't take part at lugnet.

A few months ago, Uli Meyer's awesome minifig scale creations started showing
up on Brickshelf, beginning(?) with his Concorde and airport:

Since then, I've been routinely amazed by the very elegant and often tiny
creations that keep popping up:

Such a recognizeable VW Beetle out of so few parts is quite a feat.  Uli, if
you're reading this, please join in on Lugnet!  I'm sure you have plenty to
share.
