favorite mech pilot? (Re: best mech pilots)

<snip> (...) I'd say my fave is a Boba Fett torso w/ black hands, grey legs w/ black hips, and a light grey helmet w/ black visor. What about you? -Chris (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Last Minute ISSC entry pics: Swing Bridge

(...) Yes. They are a bit rarer than other colors but they are out there. (My MTW-2001 SW uses them and so I had to source these in seven different colors) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains)

Star Trek is nice and all... but when you get guys trying to solve real life danger situations in the middle of space I think you'd get more of a "any piece glued here to (...)   Re: Rules for the voting process of the 1. ISCC

(...) Thanks for that update, Ben! (...) Well I don't know about anybody else but those tube dinosaurs are going to get high marks from me in my public voting, I thought they were highly creative, considering the source! :-) I think we may have the (...)   LFB?

Hi Lindsay, Sorry to post here, but I hadn't heard anything back on e-mail ... I just wanted to make sure you were getting my messages (?). ... and to make this moderately on-topic, if only for a brief moment: several MOCs are to be unveiled (...)   '57 Chevy (ISCC entry)

Hi @ll, I build a '57 Chevrolet Bel Air as my entry for the 1st International System Creativity Contest at 1000steine.de (URL) since I was a child I wanted to build a cool shark fin car from the fifties. Now I've finally done it. A lot of red bricks (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.contests) !!

Re: Bucke Wheel Excavator (ISCC entry)

Hi, This huge piece of machinerie, worlds largest bucket wheel excavator "Bagger 288" has always fascinated me, and so does your model! What a great piece of work!   Re: New transforming space ship

Pat, great overall design and you pointed out the flaws yourself. Other's have commented in much the way I would, so I have nothing more to say other than 'Great Job'! -Dave (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha

I like the overall design, but I must agree with the consensus that more detailed pics are needed. The colorscheme really works and the design minus the guns reminds me of what a construction mecha might be like. -Dave (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: best mech pilots

(...) Whether they need them or not is irrelevent. Monkeys with space helmets are cool. Monkeys with castle helms are cooler. (...) I've been experimenting with using some armored castle figs as well. I figure it's the best use I'll find for them (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: advice?

(...) Heh heh, this is a catch 22 question to answer. Remove the word 'great' and I think we'd all answer it. I plan way more than half of my projects. 95% is more like it. On rare occasions, a mecha takes on a life of it's own while I'm just (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: NH-1 'Eisen'

Fantastic mecha, Geordan! Every new model shows your growth in the areas of articulation and design. The removable armor is something I still haven't attempted yet, but over time I will try this.   Re: Monthly MOC: Raupenschlepper Ost

(...) You are absolutely right but the cab would then have to be raised to make room for the tracks beneath. It would then be much taller and that would make it an entirely different vihicle. (23 years ago, 4-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.military)
