  Re: Solar Power & LEGO

(...) Thanks. I just visited the Edmunds Scientic Page and they said their solar panels can be wired in series. The thing I need to know now is how many volts and how many amps is appropriate for powering the Rcx. I assume 9 volts. But is 12 volts (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Solar Power & LEGO

Anybody done it? I would like to incorporate solar power into lEGO and perhaps LEGO robotics. In fact, I have never used solar power (SP) for anything. I have heard that the TAMAYKO (sp?) plastic model kit from Japan has a good solar panel but it (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Does Pneumatic Suck?

Hello Try to get one of the early technic pneumatic sets, like the 8851 or 8843 TRhese set have a grey 4 x 2 brick with valves. This pump pushes the air through one side of the brick and sucks the out of the brick using the other valve. These (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  Does Pneumatic Suck?

Hi Technic heads, Is it possible to build a pneumatic _SUCTION_ system using only LEGO parts? I've seen many pneumatic PUMP systems. But my goal is to have a MindStorms controlled suction system that can lift a LEGO brick (on the flat side of (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Help ID pieces

(...) I don't see any other Paradisa parts. I think they must have come from multiple copies of 6552 Rocky River Retreat, but I only have enough parts to complete one of the sets. I suspect the boys I bought the LEGO from received identical sets so (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: The Construction Paper

(...) That's just over 38 studs - a bit tight for a decent car, which is really all I can build. I've got an (already too-short looking) El Camino standing here that would fit if I take off the rear bumper corners, I guess BTW: It's got an (...)   Help ID pieces

I just emerged from my dark ages and bought a box of LEGO with no instructions at a yard sale. I've had pretty good luck (and a lot of fun!) re-constructing most of the sets, but I have some pieces left that I can't assign to sets. Can anyone help (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.build)
