Re: USS Fletcher for public display

(...) Thank you Bill, I am glad you like. One good thing about modeling warships is there so are so many originals of different sizes suitable for small and large collections of grey pieces. Mattias (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-40 Warhawk [revisited]

(...) The entire piece is mounted upon a 2x1 brick with a hole in it. I got a four bump long pin in there, holding the cylinder, the propellor, and the spinner, so yes, it does indeed turn. ~Drew (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Engineering difficulties

(...) Yes, it was. I finally decided on using a click hinge to hold the tailfin in a vertical position. I'm quite pleased with the end results. (...) You are correct - the PBY Catalina has a wingspan of 104 feet, and a length of 63 feet, just a (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Engineering difficulties

(...) I think your latest version is quite good... I assume this was posted before you had that worked out? (...) With my PB4Y, I found that the landing gear wasn't strong enough to hold up the plane, so I cheated and built a display stand for it. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: USS Fletcher for public display

(...) Very sleek and powerful looking. You really captured the essense of the original, I think. --Bill. (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-40 Warhawk [revisited]

(...) Very nifty! I like the way you did the engine (does the 4x4 cylinder piece turn?), and I love the gun sight in front of the cockpit. --Bill. (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  NEW custom; UCS Cloud Car

I know it can't help but be anticlimactic after my B-wing and Y-wing, but my UCS Cloud Car is up for display at my new home; (URL) under "Gareth's Customs" Enjoy! And please post feedback! (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce) !

  Re: mini Fabfigs & Elvis

(...) The white cat head was the one without a body and a neck broken off level with the head. The beige rabbit head came off easily without even popping the neck from the body, so all parts are in perfect condition and the figure can be (...)   Re: mini Fabfigs & Elvis

(...) I know one of the Fabuland heads you sacrificed was already busted, did you find some more busted ones, or did you sacrifice some of your more "floppy" heads? I'm really considering doing a few of these mods. Frank (23 years ago, 11-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.fabuland)

  Re: My next mecha...

(...) Cool! It has a nice sleek look to it, as if it could run at amazing speed, the legs are very well designed, pretty cool idea, I'd hate to be on the wrong end of that "mecha rush" ;-) Keep it up! -Geordan- (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  I did it!

Thanks for the tips, Fiddled around in Image composer and came up with this, I used the pick points and cut thing, it didn't take too long, but everytime I'd get what I wanted with the magic wand, and I'd click cutout, it wouldn't cut out, just go (...)   My next mecha...

The Administration is proud to announce the creation of their own mech. It hasn't been named yet, but it will be soon. (URL) enjoy and let me know what you think, -- Mark Nelson LCC Command: www.geocities.com/cm...cccommand/ (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: USS Fletcher for public display

(...) Thank you Lindsay for taking kind interest in my model. To hear experienced Logo fans comment on your creations is always something extra. I agree that the forward hull is a weak part of my model. I will try to rebuild it either by SNOT and (...) (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: P-40 Warhawk [revisited]

(...) ADDENDUM. I also decided to make a small diorama of what inspired me to start making a WW2 aircraft in the first place. Here is the downed B-17 pilot, trapped on an island in the Pacific, after a strange green asteroid hit his Flying (...) (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  P-40 Warhawk [revisited]

I come to you with my P-40 Warhawk MK II. I made some minor changes to details, rebuilt the tail fins, and most importantly, I have decently sized pictures of the model. The images should load MUCH faster for you DSL users. The 500 lb. bomb on the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Two new WW2 Tank MOC's

Brown wheels on the Tiger? Now that's good idea! Most of my brown wheels went out in Blacksmith Shops and Windmill kits, but I suppose I could seek out some more. Both tanks are actually working prototypes for a new line of tank kits to replace the (...) (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
