Re: MS-06F Zaku and Website Teasers

In lugnet.build.mecha, Sun Yun writes: Sun-- Excellent new model. DT's zaku is one of my favourites, but I like yours too. Love the feet, love the disk on top of his head. Well done! Also love Hobby Japan.... As to the site, I can't wait! What great (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) Yes indeedy...! I also noticed here: (URL) 4793 -- that buzz-saw like thing.... depending on scale...might it not work well for scews on modern subs such as everyone was trying to find a solution too not that long ago? Granted, they would (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Dark Gundam site update

(...) Wow. Very awesome continuation of your saga. Not only are the mecha awesome, but you're keeping an even 'tone' over an extended period of time and storyline. This is pretty incredible. :) One small thing - it looks like you've got some (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Pictures of FGLTC train show in Muelheim/Germany

Dear folks, most of you might have seen pop up lots of new similar galleries at brickshelf.com. These photos have been taken at the train show of the FGLTC in Muelheim on last Sunday. I have collected all links to the different galleries on one (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.de, lugnet.loc.nl) !!

  Re: Announcing PB4Y-2 "Privateer"

(...) Thanks! The main landing gear was probably the hardest part. After much banging of head against wall I realized that it was not working because the wing was too thin. I was working with a wing that was not quite 2 bricks thick, so the base of (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Announcing PB4Y-2 "Privateer"

(...) No. I did preserve the fiction that minifigs could crawl from position to position inside the plane as much as possible - there is a passageway from the bombardier's station to the central part of the fuselage, and from each of the ball (...)   Re: Announcing PB4Y-2 "Privateer"

(...) I had to buy the canopies on BrickBay. I bought quite a few parts on BrickBay in fact, mainly for the turrets, but also some of the slopes in the tail. It's not at all easy to build a model this big, and it takes up a lot of brick. Just about (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

Re: Jesus! A massive update to The Brick Testament

(...) I think it fits right in here. Of the new batch I like "The Last Supper". Why does one of the disciples have big hair? Obscure? We're working on it... The Reverend is certainly working on it... -Erik (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Jesus! A massive update to The Brick Testament

(...) All I can say is wow. This is one of the greatest things done with Lego that I have seen for a long time. Your photo editing techniques are awesome (photoshop?) and all the pictures are great! Keep up the awesome work! It's very good! ~Nick (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Fantastic work Sun! I like how most of mecha look very clean. You make it look so easy! ;-D BTW the previews of your site look great! Can't wait to see the whole thing! (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  MS-06F Zaku and Website Teasers

Hi all, I have some teaser images of a partially finished(waiting for colors) MS-06F Zaku II "Principality of Zeon" model on the brickshelf. . .   Re: Dark Gundam site update

(...) Thanks. Just like anything else you can't help but get better at it over time with exposure to the techniques involved. That's why so many actors become directors and producers. (...) It's a challenge to make use of junk parts and build props (...) (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Dark Gundam site update

(...) Yes, that's really the reason for the new grey setting. It shows up the black better, but then the grey background itself shows up so well that it has to be moderately detailed, though it's difficult at such a large scale. The smaller hangar (...)   Re: Announcing PB4Y-2 "Privateer"

(...) Thanks! Actually I picked this plane partly because I wouldn't have as many tricky curves. The plane was known as the "flying boxcar" by some. The wings' airfoil shape was probably the hardest curve to get right. --Bill. (23 years ago, 29-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)
