  Re: new member

hey, thanks The legs were always the hardest part to start with. Particuarily with reverse-knee mechs you have to deal with all that wieght being placed on the heel of the foot. Actually with Ram, the toes go back and forth freely because there is (...) (23 years ago, 19-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: new member Check this guy out!

Re: New MOC: One-man Scout Ornithopter from "Dune"

(...) Glad you like it. I thought the movie and miniseries both had some good things and some really awful things (the 'thopters in both being one of the awful things). (...) You're probably right. I didn't do a lot of research for the 'figs. I (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: New MOCs

Thanks! I work mostly in brown/tan because the best bang for the buck (with the right parts for this project anyway) is the Pit Droid. BTW, I found several of them at the local Wal-Mart a couple of weeks ago on clearance for $4 ea. I bought them (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: New MOCs

(...) As usual, Paul....I'm in awe! These are both fantastic, though I prefer the brown one. Anyone who can work successfully with Lego's worst color (tan) gets serious points in my book. Kudos! -Dave (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: Swinger 3 Unveiled

(...) Ahh... nevermind... you already knew it was here.. mainly because you run Jain's Guide and I run most of my MOCs through there... (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re-attaching stickers to windows

Does anybody have any advice on re-attaching stickers to windows like those found in the Western sets. A have quite a few windows and doors from such sets but it seems the previous owner must have a blind gorilla as all the stickers are skewed or (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) ...Hey! I liked it too... I'm just a slacker and don't reply to most posts :-) looks like it would be fun in a brikwars game with that long reach. --- wubwub wubwub@wildlink.com jains.has.it <-- Jain's Guide www.sitcatsit.com <-- a guy and his (...)   Re: New MOC: Swinger Version 3

(...) Jersey... what would that mean? I have no access to digital cameras or photo equiptment that would allow me to get high-quality photos I apologize for the lack of quality in the photos.. but that's the best I could muster given the situation.   Re: New MOC: Swinger Version 3

(...) Yeah, I agree, I probably should stop being so hard on myself... but I just seem to get so little feedback I sort of get this idea that some people really don't like my style. Plus my style probably will develop once I get a job and a start a (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: new member

Wow I like these, the legs and feet are so detailed and well designed. My very first mech attempts were of the bird leg type but they fell apart very easily. yours look really sturdy. I love how you have the interal stuff built into the model. I (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC's: Building & NYPD/FDNY vehicles

  Re: New MOC's: Building & NYPD/FDNY vehicles

Johnathan: Very nice stuff. A funny story: I saw your pictures on Brickshelf before I read this post, and I said "Hey, 14th street... I work on 13th street. I wonder if that building is near my office?" I'd forgotten about it until lunchtime when I (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  Re: Talon Starfighter

(...) Thanks, Zac. :) It turned out as more of a proof of concept than anything since I chose to be limited to the various boxes I'd brought out for building that night. It's surprisingly stable over all, though the landing skids on the side are, (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: New MOC's: Building & NYPD/FDNY vehicles

(...) 100% agreed. Quite often I find that when I *try* to be clever & sophisticated with my building techniques, the results are pretty beat. When I just 'let it flow' with simple parts, I am usually much more happy with the end result. (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  Re: New MOC's: Building & NYPD/FDNY vehicles

(...) Thanks! I have noticed the same thing with a few of the newer 'earthtone' colors. The color that is next to them brings out a different appearance in color of the whole building. I see it with sand red & also the 'grey blue' from the dino (...) (23 years ago, 18-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)
