  PVA glue & lego

Ques: is it okay to use PVA (woodworkers) glue with Lego. Is the bond permanent, does the glue melt the plastic. I'm putting together a small display, and the glue would hold things together, but I don't want a permanent bond. Thanks in advance (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: One-man Scout Ornithopter from "Dune"

In lugnet.space, Paul Hanson writes: This 'thopter rules. It looks a LOT like I've always imagined one would. Very birdlike. Now you need a Spice CrawlerFactory and a carrywing to go with it. (...)   Re: New MOC: One-man Scout Ornithopter from "Dune"

hey, that's really cool. I never thought of a 'thopter like that. I remember the ones from the Sci-Fi miniseries, and the ones from the old movie. didn't really care for either design. I think my favorite design so far came from "Dune 2000", the (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Trees: how to build them?

I have a stylized deciduous tree that I've made in this picture: (URL) you use the small Lego leaf pieces, then it looks coniferous. I used different pieces from 80's space sets for the branches: Space Robot Arm: (URL) Loudhailer: (URL) Gun: (URL) (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New MOC's: Building & NYPD/FDNY vehicles

Awright! That brownstone looks great with the splashy color and two-tone brick texture! Sharp vehicles! I like that demarcation between cab and body effect. -Erik (...) (23 years ago, 17-Oct-01, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

Yes, the new GMLTC train layout has had its world premier at the 2001 Hostfest in Minot, North Dakota. We had four completed modules, of our ultimate plan of 16 modules in the layout.   Re: New MOC - "Coyote" High-Mobility Mecha

(...) Thanks Eric! The cockpit one of things that caused a lot of frustrations in the beginning; it's always a challenge to set aside enough room for a mini-fig. I really wanted this model to end up sleek and "smooth", I think I was quite (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Bardiel is done

(...) Great to hear that it's finally finished - I've been following the construction of this thing over time. The back-story you've concocted for it is very intruguing. I know that others have said it, but it's a shame that the comic won't get (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)
